I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally wouldn't expect to be forgiven for exhibiting his behavior over a prolonged period of time. He's proven to be an irresponsible, disrespectful idiot who puts innocent people in harm's way. And it's not like he's a little kid. He's 28 year's old.
That apology has Cuban twisting Josh's arm behind his back and his agent pleading on his knees to Josh written all over it. Where's that Kansas St. scrub player that likes to speak for Black America? I'd like to read...or try to read his take.
Correct, he is not a kid. He is a man and he (finally) handled it like a man, even if it was a few weeks later than we all would have liked. He has proven all of those things you mentioned (although the putting innocent people in harm's way is probably a stretch). The bottom line is he's screwed up on many occasions and hasn't shown any responsibility for his actions, until now. Is the slate wiped clean? Not by any means. Should he immediately be forgiven? Not necessarily. However it would seem he has seen the error of his ways and wants to change. Given his history, it could very well be his remorse reacting and he'll be the same old Josh Howard we can't stand. He has earned his chance to change all of that though. It's all on him now.
I didn't need any apology from him. If he was hoping an apology would keep me from thinking he's a dumbass, he was wrong. But, I'm not offended.
I am hoping Josh is about to mature after all this. Some people need to be dragged kicking and screaming into adulthood and maturity. For his sake I hope he makes it there.
What a dumb ass. He went to "military school" and still said what he said. He is the dumbest and ugliest dude I have ever seen. Screw him and those flopping sons of b****es in Little D.
Sorry, but you'd have to be downright gullible to think that. Get back to me once he's gone a couple of years without incidence, like most responsible, mature adults.
I've heard that "character" is what you do when no one else is watching. He didn't know that the camera was rolling, so he said what he said. He isn't sorry he said or did those things, he's just sorry that he got caught. Plus, he only tries to clear the air at media day. Not immediately, not a statement through his attorney, but only when he is forced to face the media at his team's event that he gets fined for if he doesn't show up and talk. Sounds like a turd to me.
That's a great philosophy to live by... do whatever you want, and once a year release a statement - "I'm sorry for all that stuff over the past year, I really am "... and be done with it
