With all this talk about the Rockets getting a point guard, my mind flashed on Bryce Drew. Drew used to be on this team '98-'00. However, we were a much different team then. We were an up-tempo, fast-paced team and Drew's style of play did not fit, thus he was traded to the Bulls. Moochie Norris, who used to be a terrific fit, thrived with the Rockets of three-four years ago and thus he was kept until 2003. Norris' game, however, went down after the rule changes (zone defense made it hard for him to penetrate.) and a cut in minutes. Drew is a good point guard for halfcourt, post-up, slow-it-down action. When the Rockets chosed Norris over Drew, it wasn't a question of talent or skill, but rather who was better for the team at that time. Call up Drew. Give him another chance.
Lester Conner?? WOW!! I haven't even thought about that dude in years!! Ha! Lester Conner...funky lookin' cat, he was! Nice call, codell!! Seriously though, I'll be happy with Ward, Jones or Fisher. Antonio Daniels is a good call if it can happen but Jones and Ward will be fine.
Doc, that's what it is looking like might happen. The Rockets clearly are not getting into this outrageous spending spree going on and are going to find good value picks. This is a smart move as long as we have a plan to save money and go after some bigger time role players down the road in a few years.
Shouldn't Mark Price have some more younger brothers by now? Maybe some of them are old enough to play.
Bullsh-t on Bryce Drew, the voice of the people are crying out for Adrian Caldwell to solve the Power Forward woes.
