FIFY !!! I just like the Rockets, and love the mix of olf players and young ones....that is what championship teams are made of.... DD
Agreed. But on a side note I love the way people on hear start threads like take the ball out of Aaron Brooks hands, Lowry should start, after one bad game. Then after a good game Aaron Brooks next Allen Iverson or Tony Parker, or can be better than Parker. People chill he is still learning don't throw our players under the bus after one game. Don't get to high or two low. Now the Lakers want to take the ball out of Aaron Brooks hands because they have no answer for him.
AB has been playing better since that horrible game 5 in Portland, I think that ass chewing he got from Yao helped. Can't see PJ not trying to do something to stop him tonight, either clog the lane or give more minutes to Farmar or Brown.
Agreed but overall in the playoffs Brooks has been excellent. Link to stats page 15.9 PPG .456FG% .412 3pt% 4.0 APG 1.4 turPG 2.8 Ast to Turnover ratio And just think of all those half court 3s he has been tossing, 2 the last game against the Lakers.....all lower his averages...... Brooks had one horrible game, but overall he is playing on an all new level, and it is against TOP NOTCH competition. Some players get better in the playoffs, isn't it nice to have a young one that is doing that on our team? DD
Three horrible games in a row. Three, not just one. I think that was what prompted the take-the-ball-out-of-brooks'-hand thread.
That was all a matter of perspective, the team was 2-1 in those games, and he was attacking the basket. He is going to struggle some....that is the nature of young players, but in the end, the struggling gets less as his understanding grows. Patience is key, he has something that very few in the league have....a combination of speed and finishing ability.....that is a unique skill set that the team is utilizing to make teams pay for fronting Yao. He is one of the main reasons we are now in the 2nd round...... Everyone has stretches of good games and bad ones, even veterans....just win baby..that is all that matters. DD
DD,I would love to be proven wrong but I feel that he has hit the nail on the head.Brooks in my opinion can only be a career backup PG.
Morey, Adelman, Bryant, and many others disagree with you Saleem, but you are entitled to your own Dan Langhi moment. DD
I want brooks to play with his head right. meaning no doubts in his head...just be confident and see the play a step or 2 ahead of time and he'll do us really well.
The team won despite the bad games from Brooks. Doesn't matter how you slice and dice it, Brooks played horrendously in these three games. It's one thing to cut him some slacks because he is still young and learning, it's another to dismiss the legitimate criticisms leveled against his poor plays.
Well, I hope he continues to suck according to you and the team wins at a .667 pace and wins the NBA championship, don't you? DD
Maybe u should go check the adelman pg tree and you'll understand. The pg in his offense is more shooter and scorer than set up man. The offensive principles are the pg in a sense. They never have a ball dominating pg, that's not his style. So if you keep b****ing because Yao isn't touching the ball every other play, then maybe you need to adjust your thought about being a rockets fan. Its about what works and not necessarily who goes off.
Also what people don't understand is the team won despite ron having 2 good games and shane avg 5ppg on the road. If u insert rafer and he's ur 3rd best player, its gone fishing time. DD, where is my gree man!
LOL - you have certainly earned some, you understand the game and what is happening out there.....some of the other fans..not so much. DD
