Hopefully all the stupid threads about AB when he has a bad game will stop as people realize how important he is to this team, now and in the future. DD
I'm curious to see if the Lakers alter their defense because they do have a problem with Brooks and Lowry's speed. I really don't think they will, but I do expect AB to test the Lakers early just to see what they intend to do.
Oh come on Pimp, people are just jonesing for information as they get hyped for tonight's game. You have certainly become cynical lately. DD
lol......yea. I'd rather have Lowry start and AB off the bench. AB is soo streaky. Whatev. I'm just down for whatever beats LA.
Nothing we don't know here. Their was never a question if AB could get to the rim or not, the question is what he can do after he gets there. Can he finish or find the open shooter? AB did very well in game 1 against LA, let's see if he can continue to do so after defense adjusts.
AB is the best PG the Rockets have, the team is better with him on the floor with the starters, so says Morey and so says DD. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CDHtZS7ufFI&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CDHtZS7ufFI&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> "Aaron Brooks was the only guy in the Pac 10 we had to game plan for, we could not stop him".... DD
Possibly, but he already got plenty of praise from Kobe after competing against him as part of the Olympic "Select Team". I Googled for the article but I can't find it.
Hope you can realize that there will be PGs who's much better and much more important for Rox than AB in the future. PGs who rarely have a bad game instead of who rarely have a good game.
Hopefully you will realize that AB will become like that with more playing time, as he is only a 2nd year player who has started a grand total of only 35 games. Maybe you would have run Tony Parker out of San Antonio too when he struggled his first year......patience is a virtue......Morey, Adelman, DD and most knowledgeable posters know the truth.... Heck, even Kobe Bryant knows it....get with the program man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more arguing though, let's just cheer for the Rockets...AND Aaron Brooks....it is good for the team. DD
Hopefully you'll realize Parker in his 1st year at 19 year old already played better than AB in his 2nd year at 25 year old. Parker at age 25 is one of the best PG in NBA already. And AB will not grow 2 more inches and becomes as strong as Parker, and have a court vision like TP, even though that doesn't mean much.
I think AB's only downside ATM is his inexperience. Just give the guy some more playoff exp. and I see nothing but good coming from him. Once he realizes he shouldn't be passing up wide open looks or trying to pound the ball inside to Yao when defenses aren't allowing it, then he will truly blossom. And once this happens, defenses are going to have a hell of a time trying to stop Yao's dominance in the post and containing AB's facilitation/speed.
Parker played professional basketball at 15, and by 19 was already fairly seasoned....ah....who cares....... The rest of the organization, the NBA, and knowledgeable fans know better. You will eventually come over to our side........it just takes some people longer. DD
OK. As long as AB doesn't keep dribbling like he used to do, stop taking contested outside shots with time on the clock, I'll be happy.
If he does that and the team wins.....who cares? DD PS. His job is to break the defense down with his dribble so I suspect you will be whining about this for a long time.
Its Parker's ability to shoot 50% as a PG, that truly makes him great. Parker also scores more without Ginobli in the lineup.
DD is an BOF! As many people have mentioned, this series is in AB's hands! Hopefully, he can be more consitent!
The problem is when he does that the team loses more often than wins. You need to understand that. It's like saying Chuch Hayes can take as many shots as he want as long as they fall into the basket. The problem is: Will he be able to do that consistently? What's the odds of winning if he plays that way? AB's job is to get good shots for teammates and himself. Break the defense with his dribble is just one of the ways. Again, the problem with AB in so many games was non-stop dribbling, broke nothing but the clock. You need to understand that too. He did much better in last two games after Yao called him out.
