LOL such BS...so they want us to believe that Colangelo is loose with private 76er info with his wife, and she runs these accounts without mentioning it to him? Come on...

Note she did a factory reset of her phone before forensic review. I’m not going to say that Colangelo didn’t know any of this was happening, but it’s just super fishy. Well he’s losing his job regardless.

At this point the only logical team to go to would be the Kings.

He got fired so who cares really. The Sixers can't PROVE that he knew anything. I'm sure they think just like the rest of us.

An NBA GM gets fired because he shared secret data with his wife and she leaked it on Twitter via several fake accounts. What a time to be alive.

Looking at the possible backlash from fans and media, the Sixers had no other choice. If you consider how Colangelo got this job, it's kind of karma.

I think the league agrees with you, and he hasn’t had another NBA job since. That said, I give Hinkie much more credit than that. He is a brilliant guy, went to and now teaches at Stanford GSB (they are my client and my dream school, their students and faculties are absolutely top notch), became a good assistant GM here with the Rockets, then went to the Sixers and made some great moves. He never said anything stupid... or created any burner accounts for that matter. The mistakes he made were totally correctable. I’ve seen executives come back from worse situations before.

Hinkie needs another chance. I hope Morey hires him as an assistant/consultant.

I agree with you. He is out of the league and probably will get a job with Jerry C. and sit in a back room for the rest of his career. Now I’m just waiting to see if/when David Griffin is hired.

It sucks that this likely gives Griff a shot at that job which will be a good lure for Lebron.

That said, hiring Durant's favorite coach didn't do jack for Washington.

Durant probably saw how disfunctional Beal/Wall were and bounced out of there like that Game of Zones episode suggested (although Durant’s just a coward).

Griffin going to the Sixers just makes too much sense with his low key attitude, his previous star experience and championship wins. Sixers have the pieces and rising stars to attract Griffin, and LeBron loves Griffin as well.

The burner accounts may have caused LeBron to go to the Sixers. This is almost ironic.

The way it is worded it is the best for all parties.
Colangelo can try to salvage some chances to be rehired somewhere else in the future, and the Sixers get to fire him as they intended to.

This actually makes the Sixers more alluring to Lebron. He can hire his own puppet GM on top of being the coach in effect.
Funnily, I think it's better for them to actually wait and hire noone as GM until FA passes.
