Im watching NFL Network, and they announced it. and here it is a link: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...-mars-to-play-super-bowl-xlviii-halftime-show
I thought Robin Thicke and his "Blurred Lines" models without Miley Cyrus twerking would be a good halftime performance.
The obvious person the NFL needs to go to is Timberlake. However, he is tainted in their eyes by Janet and nipple-gate. I think Timberlake gets it next Superbowl. Also, I think the NFL may have had problems getting performers because of the threat of SNOW at this game. Cold and Snow is not good for dancing and the vocal cords...
I'd admit to not watching out of spite. The 5 seconds of Keith Urban that I caught was a nightmare too. Even when performers that I enjoy do these shows, I can't stand watching them do these shows. I just find all the pomp, and digging for something to deem controversial to be obnoxious. It's even worse now that they cram 4-6 musicians, Cirque du Soleil, drumlines, etc all in together. The sum isn't greater than the individual parts. That's just me though.
my personal favorite. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/beSY5qGZ8bA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Can they give us some halftime comedy as well and show Jeremy Lin shooting 23 foot 2 pointers? Too soon?
They should do a comedy stand-up during halftime. Have Dave Chapelle/Kat Williams/Kevin Hart do a half-time show. I would watch that for sure.
Well that wouldn't work because apparently Kevin Hart has some sort of exclusivity clause with the NBA.
