too bad bruce and clay can't go in together!

Am I just biased...or have we not seen guys AS dominant as Munchak/Matthews/Hopkins of late? There are some guys that are good that're out there...but outside of maybe 5 of them...those 3 all seem better?

Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden are legit HOF tackles. Walter Jones also has a shot. Steve Hutchinson is very dominant at guard. Willie Anderson is a monster for Cincy. Willie Roaf was very dominant throughout the 90's and also has an HOF shot. Larry Allen has been overrated for the last few years but was a true mauler in his prime. So I don't think hte cupboard is as bare as you think.

Hopkins was a great player and v. underappreciated, but I don't see him in the class of any of the above.

Will Shields is another monster at guard for the Chiefs and Brian Waters is pretty good too. I'd say there are plenty of really good offensive lineman you just don't hear about the ones who aren't beasts that much if they don't play for your team.

I guess Pace with the recent injuries, Ogden was just off my mind.

I thought of Jones and Hutchinson..

But I guess I was probably overrating Hopkins then. The Texans should use 5 picks on O and D linemen and hope some of them pan out! ;)

He was so good for so long...I miss the days when we didn't have o-line problems...

    Congrats Bruce..

Dumb question, and I didn't bother reading earlier posts, but is this as an Oiler or as a Titan...

OK, I'm a dumbass or something. The post I was thinking of was in a Mutumbo HOF thread.

Football, like basketball, players do not go into the HOF as a member of a specific team.

Matthews and Munchak are 2 of the all time greats. I hope Matthews gets in 1st ballot and I hope the Texans use their first pick on the best offensive lineman available.
