If you have more than one hero choose one to concentrate on getting exp. When you fight make sure you use the battle calculator to get maximum exp, the fewer troops you use the more exp you get, if you do it right you can get over a full level from a fight. Also, as your mine levels increase the amount of exp you get from upgrading it increases which helps.
To expand on that- hit the clan site- there's a tutorial on how to maximize the calc. Take it to a new level.
From my understanding that will change the type of victory (minor, average, major) but not the xp gained. Fight 1 Fight 2 If you look at the two fights, Fight 1 uses fewer troops and you get +20% xp bonus. Fight 2 uses more troops, you overrun the first stack and have fewer losses, but it drops the xp by -58%. The xp breakdown is at the bottom of the page.
Overunning means you get less honor points which means a huge dip in your EXP. Try to be the slight underdog in terms of Troop Strength and just match up the bonuses accordingly.
Honor is the XP modifier. The more lopsided your victory is based on your Attack Power, the more or less your Honor. For example. If you beat your opponent using 8,000 AP and he has 18,000, your honor modifier will be on the plus side (high, using this example), and will give you better XP. However, in this scenario, you won't overrun, which means that you will lose more troops. I've seen situations where less troops equaled an Average victory, and more equaled a Major victory. I added one peasant to get this. No clue why it's like that. Anyway, most of this stuff is linked on our clan messageboards under the LINKS and the MUST HAVE topics. The MUST have is huge. I can't stress this enough. It's changed my game completely (I can point to where I figured it out on my stats).
There is a 5-point system that determine the rating of the battle. 5 beings the best win while 1 is the worst win. 5: legendary 4: outstanding 3: major 2: average 1: minor The 5 points are allocated to attacking power differential (3 points) and units loss(2 points). For example, If there is a very high attacking power differential (meaning your troops are much weaker than opp), you get 3 points. If there is no loss of units or minimal loss of units, you get 2 points. Together, you get legendary victory.
Guns or butter. Focus on your economy first and you will have enough for troops. See the clan forums for more in-depth tips; Turbo just posted a bunch of fantastic tips. He's 15/8/11 on the Ravaged Lands server...knows his stuff.
I got an extra invite to the ravaged land server to give to someone, if anyone wants to get on the server with the first two alliances.
What is troop growth? One of my town buildings "boosts skeleton/skeleton archer growth by +6 per day." Is this the same as increasing the # of skellies I can make by +6 (similar to dwellings?)
