This really shouldn't be a surprise. I'm not sure why the Lakers went the Brown route anyway, good defensive coach but his offense is suspect to say the least. Brown mirrors the coaching style of Pop, thing is, he's just no Pop. I don't think Brown is consistent, so he tends to lose his locker room.

Looks like he's either lost or losing this team like he did with the Cavs. This Lakers team needs someone that commands respect. This is where losing Phil is going to show up most, and I'm not the biggest PJ fan.

IMO if the Lakers don't trade for another superstar or two soon, we will see a decline(guess that's obvious) like we did with them after the showtime Lakers went bye bye. Personally, I hope that happens.

Also, the Lakers are missing Odom's versatility.

Come to think of it, this season, Odom is missing his versatility. The botched trade leading to the granted trade request really seemed to mess with his head.

very true. today's players are all pretty soft when it comes to dealing with the fact that they're all assets. or maybe it has always been that way?
K mart and his lack of interest..pau too. They should all learn a thing or two from big shot bob and Bullard. Oh and Van gundy calling out howard for all the trade rumors affecting the team.

Funny how those Rudy T Lakers had a BETTER record WITHOUT Kobe when he was hurt than WITH Kobe. I don't mind sounding homerish on it, I thought Rudy T did a very good job for the situation and for the poor health he had.

Similar to when Rudy was there, the team is a lot worse and the players think the triangle will save them. Newsflash, when you replace Shaq with Brian Grant, your team will suck. When you lose Odom for nothing and your guards are 50 years old and refuse to pass to your 7 footers, your team will also suck. Doesn't matter who the coach is.

what do you expect? kobe IS the lakers. he can do anything he wants. mike brown is not a good coach and he wanted to point that out.

so kobe continually ignores bynum and shoots 9 million shots a game any time he wants but mike brown draws up a play for kobe and kobe changes it to go to bynum and then mentions it to show how smart kobe is and how stupid brown is? maybe he should change up the "kobe is shooting" play a little more often from now on.

also, why was kobe scared to take that final shot? this is why i've been saying bynum should close games for the lakers.

LOL, Kobe hit the shot that gave Lakers one point lead. The final shot to put them up 3 is an icing on the cake.
