Okafor to New Orleans got completed? I think he'll be a nice fit next to Davis. The move certainly makes Pelis games more interesting.

What can he bring to the team? I haven't seen much of him for a long time.

As of late last night, they were in "Deep discussion". From what i gathered, they were just mincing pick protections.

I remember this guy destroying the Horns in the tournament.

He should've played sorry that game, if he was gonna be sorry.

Maybe the Rockets can get in on that deal....sending the Rockets Ajinca. Pels have been collecting former Rockets (TJones/D-Mo) while Houston has been collecting former Pels (Ryno/EG10).

Perhaps the Pels would take Brewer or KJ. Philly doesn't need another big guy in Ajinca.

my two cents: I'm not a big fan of posting current news about the availability of someone in 2 yr old threads proclaiming Rockets Interested in X....especially since Broussard actually said "expected to show interest"

Misleading title from Day 1, and even more so now.

[edit] looks like it has turned into a Codman thread now.

Possibly. Just, reports are that Pels trying to move Asik or Ajinca in the same or separate deal simultaneously.

    per basketball-reference.com (16/17.....36 min projection)
    ..................2P%.......FT%.......ORB......DRB.......TRB.......Stl........Blk.......Pts......Blk%......TRB%.....DRtg...
    Ajinca.......48.2%.....71.4%.....2.7.........8.4.......11.0......1.0......1.8......10.9......4.1.........16.0.........104.....
    Okafor......51.7%.....59.4%.....2.5.........4.9........7.5.......0.6......1.6......17.9......3.5.........11.4.........109.....

Difference is one player(Okafor) is or should be expected to be a starter.....while we just need Ajinca a few
mins to get past SA, Utah, Memphis......without losing Nene. It's not always about pts scored.

I will take any wing player over Corey Brewer.

This guy is performing worse than Brewer this year by nearly every recordable metric.

    Let that sink in..

Not just that, but this forum's hate of Brewer has officially gone too far.

Brewer's brutal season is not lost on anyone, least of all, i'm sure, him. However, Brewer buys in. The guy is a professional and is willing to do whatever is asked of him regardless of his ability to execute efficiently. Dwight could not do this. Donatas could not do this. Asik could not do this.

Bringing in a guy like Derrick Williams, even if he was performing marginally better, does not mean he's going to fit into the team and culture as cohesively as Brewer. It's a skill/trait that this forum is largely overlooking, in my opinion.

Probably the best value for deep depth big man would be Mejri.....but Ariza would kill him.
    .............................16/17.................17/18..................18/19
Ajinca..................$4.71 mil..........$5.04 mil............$5.36 mil (end of current contract)
Boban..................$5.6 mil............$5.88 mil............$9.49 mil (end of current contract)

    Mejri..................$874,636 thou.......$1 mil (non-guaranteed)

    Mason Ginsberg‏ @MasonGinsberg

If i'm trading for a center who is bad at both defense and rebounding, he better be a Ryan Anderson threat level from 3-point range.9:31 AM · Feb 7, 2017
