No sorry, CLEARLY with Dwight we are better than they are with Dwight. We are ready to contend we just need the last piece.

exactly. we were a run-n-gun team b/c that's what our roster dictated. to think that we would play the exact same style even after dwight comes on board is borderline asinine.

i don't believe the dallas bit for a second - there's as much uncertainty there as there is w the lakers.

    he's ours.

I truly believe the Rockets give Dwight the best chance to win, but that may not be enough. I'm starting to think that he's more concerned with being the man and getting his touches.

I hope Im wrong but, I'm actually pretty concerned that he won't sign with Houston.

I say, Good, let him waste away his prime in Dallas where he won't win anything.

Have fun rotting in Crap-las, Dwight!

I mean, yeah Dirk is still gonna hit his signature shots. But not only is he not MVP worthy, he's not allstar worthy, and he's not "2nd best player on a championship team" worthy IMO.

If Dwight goes to Houston... I mean seriously! Do I need to make the case for teaming up with Harden and Parsons!?

And who else would they have on their team playing heavy minutes? Keep in mind Marion would be gone just so they could give the max to Dwight. Carlisle soured on pretty much every young player on the team last year including Mayo, Collison, etc. None of them show to have much potential.

The only reason the Mavs treaded water last year was Carlisle and Marion considering Dirk was out half the season. Marion is extremely important to that team's success and I am not sure they can find anyone capable of giving you what he does night in and night out. "He is a consummate professional" is what Clyde would say.

Anyways, I'm not sure what else Dallas can do to get more talent once Dwight gets on board. There only hope is for 2014 offseason and hope Dirk will take a paycut but Dwight would most definitely be wasting a season just like he did this year in LA with no real shot at contending. At least with us, there is a high ceiling where our players will improve with more and more playing time together.

No, like I said, you guys misunderstood what I was saying. Obviously Houston+Dwight is better than Dallas+Dwight.

But, Dallas+Dwight is better than Houston w/o Dwight.

sorry to write this, but i said this exact thing would happen to us 2 wks ago, about dallas being a legitimate threat, but some people just wrote me off saying that 'no, dallas is just a team that's dangling to scare LA', but mark cuban is a genius, he has his ways. he duped us in 2010, when he signed butler/haywood, when we were really close to getting them

dwight is going to end up in dallas watch...man this ruins my day

Yeah it doesn't make any sense. Marion will have to be traded to make room for Dwight and they'd need to upgrade at the PG and SG position to compete with the Thunder and Spurs. I can see Mark Cuban spending big money the problem is there any talent available. Plus they don't have anything worth trading right now.

Sigh... It sounds like Dwight will want James Harden to play second fiddle to him, if he comes to Houston.

I'm not saying he's a scrub. But this is a guy who almost never got hurt and was an MVP-caliber player for years. Now he's coming off an injury-riddled season and is in his mid-30s with a ton of mileage. The window for contending with Dirk is 2, maybe 3 years tops and that's being generous. And next year shouldn't even count since the Mavs will have to gut their team just to sign Dwight. So by going to Dallas, he'd be giving himself a couple years at most to compete for a title and that's predicated entirely on the Mavs signing a big-name free agent in 2014. It makes no sense to me.

No I understood. I'm just adding that Houston should be the obvious choice if its about winning...

DALLAS and Houston the favorites! What? You have to be kidding me. If Dallas gets Howard I am going to puke!

We must buy up all of the iPads in Dallas so that Cuban cannot impress Dwight. Moari needs us.
