You mean after he already found out Bosh was going to Miami he said Lebron was going to Miami?? No way!!

This is exactly why Chris Broussard is a joke.

I think they would actually be better with Dwight than we are.

So, 3 days before Lebron could've still wanted to go back to Cleveland. He was pretty indecisive! And Cleveland did try to bring in Bosh to get Lebron to stay.

I don`t think he wants to be in Dallas. Dallas is basically Orlando with a better owner. For Dwight it`d mean starting from scratch again. They don`t really have any pieces to build around and Dwight isn`t getting younger.

In Houston he has a legitimate star and several young players with great potential on bargain contracts - and of course a hall of fame big man as a coach. He might not go the pure center oriented offense route (and really, dwights offense isn`t good enough for that route anyway) - but he will definetly include lots of looks for him every game.

And with Asik we can keep both big men fresh every time.

Really it should be: Lakers (if he wants the Limelight and the tradition and Hollywood) - Clippers (if he can forced a S&T) or Houston (if he wants to win now and have fun doing so). No other team really makes sense.

The problem with that, is he wil be viewed as the reason the coach
    got fire...

Remember he doesnt want that anymore... He doesnt want to be viewed a the guy that fired two/three coaches in 2 seasons..

I don't think so. He's be all they have! We could still sign a top free agent. I think our starting 5 with josh smith at 4 is better than Dallas with Dwight...

If Dwight isn't good enough to make the Mavericks better than the 8th seed in the playoffs that finished 4 games ahead of them, then I wonder how good he really is.

If the Lakers hire and fire ANOTHER coach then they'll be reeling big time. Since 99, it's like if Phil Jackson isn't thier coach, they lose all thier competence.

Not in 2013. An aging Dirk and Dwight Howard ain't much. Come 2014 depending on how free agency shakes out, maybe then the Mavs could put a contender on the court, but I don't know why Howard would gamble with his career like that.

People are overrating the decline of Dirk. He's not MVP worthy anymore, but it's not like he's some scrub all of a sudden. He'd fit really well with Dwight as well.

If broussard is saying this, then I'm sure he'll sign with the Lakers.

Yeah this doesn't make sense. The likeliness of winning a title with the Mavs next year is about the same as the Lakers, not to say that the Rockets are a sure thing but at least they'd be in the conversation.

Please elaborate. Dirk is getting old, so are most other real pieces on that team (Carter, Marion, Kaman, Brand). Beaubois, Wright and Collison are nice players - but you can get those kind of players a dime a dozen. Mayo is probably gone to collect a bigger checque someplace.

This team is a mess right now. There four leading scorer will either be gone or decrease next season.

Dallas has nothing to offer but a good owner - and if you are really generous Dirk, who is far from the MVP he used to be.

Ah, I thought you mean that the Mavericks with Dwight are better than the Rockets with Dwight. That wouldn't really make sense.

I don't think they'd be a contender next year either, but without Dwight we won't be either.

I do think we are the better fit for Dwight because I think WITH Dwight we are a contender and I don't think the Mavs are. But, whichever one of us has Dwight is better than the one that doesn't imo.

    It hurts to say but....

    Flame suit on.

While I think Houston gives Dwight a better chance to win at this moment, I understand why a player would want to play for Cuban. I think he is the best owner in the nba and will do everything in his power to help Dwight win.

I'm hoping he comes here, but I do think Dallas has a shot.

    Muck the favs
