He makes it seem like it is official that DH is leaving!

The guy is right, doesn't matter which player, they are supposed to be loyal while owners and GMs can talk about humans as 'pieces' and move around like a game of chess. Dwight should explore his options and people shouldn't be mad, he's a FREE AGENT! Right now, he's not a Laker so he can do what he wants.

DH friend, a reporter from his Orlando days. He broke the news that he would stay another year in Orl.

    Pretty much.

It's going to be Houston or LA. Either he's just trying to get D'antoni fired (which I don't completely believe) or he's really coming to Houston.

While Dallas would be a good place to play for a year or two...after that he's in the same situation with L.A except Dallas is going to have a harder time getting FAs than L.A would.

Also I think Dallas fans are thinking they could get Ellis and convince Howard. I think that's bunk. If Dwight chooses to play with Ellis over Harden then he's just stupid any ways.

Agreed. That blog post isn't much higher than a random message board post on the credibility scale.

    This is pretty important.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>The Lakers' plan if Dwight stays? Much different. Pau is all but a goner, most likely via amnesty provision to ... <a href="http://t.co/ub2FSyn7ab">http://t.co/ub2FSyn7ab</a></p>&mdash; KEVIN DING (@KevinDing) <a href="https://twitter.com/KevinDing/statuses/350347552538902528">June 27, 2013</a></blockquote>

By all accounts, Pau was one of the few Lakers that Dwight really enjoyed playing with. If it's not possible to have Dwight and Pau together, LA's pitch to Dwight is significantly weakened and their 2013-14 season is essentially over before it starts. (The "we figured it out, went 28-12 in our last 40 games" argument is dismantled if you jettison one of the key players and another has a torn Achilles.)

...and I agree...this is where Lakers fans are failing.

Maybe. It's all conjecture from any of us, but I think it's more about not being #2...

With Kobe, you know he'll go out of his way to make sure everyone acknowledges him as the only alpha dog, even if a prime Jordan joined the team. He and Shaq should've been 1a/b but we saw how that worked out.

And that's why I think he and Harden could co-exist. 1a & 1b. We've got a team that gets along pretty well.

The Lakers agreed to hire Madsen so he could mentor DH on post moves.

Cat, good find. That doesn't sound like a winning formula next year. Sounds like a recipe for another toxic season.

Because Lakers fans are the most fickle, spoiled, classless group of fans in the entire NBA. They've been so accustomed to players falling all over themselves to play there that the second someone uses his cognitive abilities to identify that the Lakers are not his best opportunity to win, they foam at the mouth and furrow their brow in anger (much like a Neanderthal). "Y U NO HEART LALALAND???"

I started following Rudolph on Twitter about a month ago, he's actually a great follow. Very level headed and in tune with sports and life around them. Even without the Dwight tweets, I recommend everyone follow.
