This is a good idea, or they can end up like the Twolves drafting in the top 5 every year.

Once you have your franchise guy, you need to start building around him so i don't think it's a bad idea.

Thats why I keep wanting the Rockets to get higher in the draft because it's looking like teams that may draft in the top 5 have some great players to build around (Wall,Blake,Love) and maybe just maybe the Rockets can offer a deal to swap and get their own guy like Kyrie Irving or something.

Reminds me of the Rockets 1998 Draft... 3 first rounders and got Michael Dickerson, Bryce Drew, and Mirsad Turkcan... passed on Rashard Lewis

I agree, but where does that leave Aminu? Kaman and Aminu for Yao,Hill, and Williams? It would be nice if the rockets could get Aminu as a 3 for the furture and Kaman as a 2 yr rental.

Gallo is a good player. Think about it from the Clips perspective. They've got a lot of young building blocks. They've got a dominant 4, a 5 with unlimited potential, a 2 who is one of the best in the league, and Baron Davis. All they are missing is a SF. Gallo gives them the outside shooting they need to space the floor and open up things for Griffen.

Gallo is a top 10-type talent and I think the pick is probably a mid-to late lotto pick. I think the clips are making a smart play here.

You know, your argument makes a lot of sense, but I cannot help but wonder why the Nuggets would be looking to move Gallo if everything you say is true...

Seriously, you just gave up the face of your franchise and now you want to try to move a possible top-ten talent???
