http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2011/02/trail_blazers_teams_opts_for_p.html Camby & Roy appear to be Quick Healers. If Camby can be as Productive as he was before the surgery or Better, then Camby and Melo would be a Dynamic Infusion If Brooks has to be included in the trade, then it would be Sweet to Add Roy
Passing though I had earlier today ...it would really suck if after all this drama and time invested in theorizing where Melo goes, he ends up pulling a Shaun Livingston, blows out a knee/Achilles and everyone forgets about him immediately. I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but that would be the worst possible outcome to this...THEN Melo going to the Lakers, then Melo going to the Knicks, then Melo staying a Nugget, then Melo going to Houston, and best case scenario is Melo going to Chicago. What can I say? I secretly want Melo to end up on the Bulls and prevent the superfriends from advancing every year.
im not sure why everybody on this board wants melo. even if we get melo and camby we aint going anywhere this year. then melo walks away. so pretty much everybody prefers to see melo a rocket for 3 months??
I would rather have melo for a couple months and pay the consequences later. I'm tired of watching this crap. Either suck or try to win everything. Cut the limbo BS.
I think we are all just sick of this team spinning their wheels and not going anywhere. Sometimes losing is so bad you have to take drastic measures and huge risks to change the outcome.
Anyone else see the Nuggets just ignore Carmelo with a chance to tie the game against GS? He was PISSED!!
Why the hell would we trade for Carmello Anthony with no extension? If they make this trade, the GM needs to be fired. He's going to sign with the NY Knicks, everyone knows that. So if Carmello wants to be with the Rockets, sign the extension. If he won't, don't make the stupid trade and lose young talent. THAT SIMPLE
man ill take it. tired of watching mediocre basketball, wanna see a superstar healthy for a change that isnt made out of glass. lets worry about the present.
Rockets: Lowry/Smith Martin/Lee Melo/Budinger Scola/Hayes Camby/Miller Nuggets: Billups/Lawson Smith/Fernandez Affalo/Forbes Martin/Patterson Nene/Andersen Blazers: Miller/Brooks Roy/Matthews Battier/Batum Aldridge/Harrington Przybilla/Cunningham Thoughts???
Why is everyone so eager to pull the trigger on Mello (at any cost), or tank and rebuild? You think we're mediocre now, try looking like the Cavaliers for the next four or five years. Waiting to develop talent which may or may not come in the draft. You think its bad now? Plus, we've been in almost every game. Without the third or fourth quarter dead periods, we'd likely be in the eighth spot or better. We need a decent defender at the five, then allow DM a chance to fill any further gaps. I'd rather be knocked out in the first or second round, than be the Cavaliers for many years to come.
Because no star is coming here through free agency and Melo is the only real option we have. This is a league where you need stars like Melo to compete. And i'd rather be the Cavaliers and have good hopes of getting a star through the draft than do what we have for the past decade. Which is get knocked out of the playoffs in the first and second round. If the Nuggets say give us ________ and you have Melo then the Rockets organization is most likely going to pull the trigger.
Even if Melo leaves after season.. We'd still be better than the Cavs. We know we need something done ASAP. We've been waiting and sometimes it takes risks to move forward.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4tp9g4h Morey would be doing Sacramento a favor in this trade by landing them a young PG who is locked up until 2014. All they have to do is return Landry who is an unrestricted free agent. Sacramento can use Jeffries to help fill the void at power forward this season. The Nuggets receive Aaron Brooks who is a restricted free agent. Brooks can step in and help out this season with Lawson traded to Sacramento. Both Brooks and Lawson averaged 24 minutes per game, so I'm sure the Nuggets wouldn't have trouble finding minutes for him. Aaron can play next to Chauncey Billups who can defend shooting guards. J.R. Smith will be gone next season, so Brooks will fit in like a glove. Chauncey would be a good mentor for Brooks. Morey can offer this to the Nuggets, and if Carmelo agrees to sign an extension with Houston I wouldn't mind adding Patrick Patterson and letting them unload Al Harrington on us. Then, trade Yao and a first rounder for Camby and Pryzbilla (they may prefer Oden). Camby / Hayes / Miller Scola / Landry / Harrington Carmelo / Budinger Martin / Lee / Williams Lowry / Smith This trade could work, but I prefer Landry. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=465znuz Camby / Miller Scola / Hayes / Harrington Carmelo / Budinger / Williams Martin / Lee Lowry / Brooks / Smith
