Guys, I present you with the perfect trade for the trade deadline: comments and suggestions welcome. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Sacramento is meant to flip Miller and Battier for future picks/young players. Miller, and especially Battier has pretty good value around the league, with a moderate contract around 7 million each and are all expiring and can contribute to a contender straight away. They give up Dalembert and Landry, who aren't in their future plans anyways. They could probably get 2 first rounders back, if not at least one. Denver gets Landry, Hill, and someone to absorb Harrington's contract. Maybe give some more guys to Denver.
I don't see why we would pick up Harringtons bad contract i mean we just inked scola to new multi-year deal and patterson is a promising rookie so why pick up something like that i'd rather see landry come back than harrington come here
Camby would be the defensive/rebounding presence needed if we want to make a playoff push. I like the idea of him in a Rockets uniform.
taking back harrington's contract is part of the price to get carmelo. I mean I'd love to have landry back, but denver would love some young talent + salary relief too
Did he really say that??? I mean, if he did, then why would you entertain any trade proposal for Melo if you were the Denver Nuggets? Does that mean Melo is a lock to be a Nugget now?
But do we want to pay that price knowing that Melo may just be a short time rental to our team because his desire to go to NY is pretty clear
lowry martin anthony scola camby brooks roy batum alridge dalembert lawson afflalo budinger landry hill evans udrih casspi PERRY JONES cousins I've given Denver Budinger and also given them New York's 1st round pick. I think this works out for everyone. Denver gets rid of Harrington and Andersen's horrible contracts, get 3 good pieces in Landry, New York's 2012 first round pick, and Hill. Sacramento get Battier and Miller to flip off to Atlanta or Chicago or Philadelphia or something. They would be able to at least some a Taj Gibson or a Mareese Speights back. Houston gets Anthony and Camby Portland gets a starting guard in Brooks, a very similar defensive center in Dalembert to replace Camby, and another big man to backup Dalembert in Chris Andersen. Whos says yes first before the other guys say yes first before the other guys say yes yes first? I think this works out for everyone
How about: Camby Batum Armon Johnson Dante Cunningham for Brooks Battier Jordan Hill J Jeffries This trade would balance the roster, and would get us under the luxury tax.
Portland would never do that. Batum is literally untouchable for them. And getting behind the lux tax line should be the last thing on our minds.
Earl Boykins, Greg Buckner, Francisco Elson, Reggie Evans, Nene Hilario, Linas Kleiza, Kenyon Martin, Andre Miller, Eduardo Najera, Ruben Patterson, Earl Watson, Chris Andersen, Jon Barry, Ryan Bowen, Steve Blake, Anthony Carter, JR Smith, and Allen Iverson. The players that passed thru DEN from 2003 to 2008. The list of teammates for Camby and Melo in 5 straight years of 1st round exits. Given that Camby and Melo's current combined salaries are $25.6M...and that Melo expiring is the same as Yao expiring except Melo can still play (value in a SnT)... Color me skeptical it will happen and if it does that they'll break their string of 1st Round exits.
I think Denver is going to keep Melo, now that his considering singing their extension, they'd be best to keep him and try to make a playoff run... and convince him to stay... Source: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-anthonynuggets020911
Ok, NOW I am officially tired of the Melo drama. There's a new rumor/twist to the story every damn day! Of course, these writers are being pushed and pulled everyday for some new update; so naturally, they take something small and make articles about it. Frustrating.
