Last night AB would've gone " Challenged PG Mode " with the way Rose was playing.. AB would've done what he always does when he faces better PGs than him; he would've played 1 0n 5 , taking the wild 3 with 2seconds left and ignoring teammates like Scola and Martin ...
That's who he is. Lowry did not play well but did not play terrible either and if he had some disallowed points at the buzzer is because nobody was getting open and the bulls flat out played better defense and they are long. Rockets cannot rebound and Hill played like 5 minutes I think and Hayes played a lot more. Adelman also seemed to forget about the speed of Ish to counter Rose ..
Bottom line, our PGs will always come a little short when facing CP3, Rose, Westbrook ( tonight ), D. Will, Nash, Curry, Parker and a few more. Lowry still plays the more controlled and better ran team..

One more thing,, it is a league of big and tall PG's except CP3 most PGs are just too quick, too fast, too strong and too tall for our 5'9" PGs..

Totally. It's also downright disgusting and Rafer-esque how he always, and I do mean always, picks up his dribble and pivots looking for someone else to bail him out of his bone-headed dribble-drives.

Exactly. As are the endless Iggy threadgasms. I understand the affection for the team, but truthfully, we just don't have elite talent.

This. I bet any deal Morey tries to make around the deadline, will try to include Lowry.

why not see is CHicago wants him...They the ones who essentially "made us" keep him for this horrible contract....Since everybody so hell bent over acquiring "assets", lets trade him to Chicago for Brewer or a draft pick...hooray for acquiring more assets.......

using AB's name and putting a phrase that he never said in quotation marks is irresponsible thread starting...

    name : "quotation"

    wtf?

Trading for a Superstar isn't a strategy at all! Even teams that end up trading for one, didn't sit around waiting for the day they landed a superstar to better themselves. The job of the GM is to look at ALL options and if a superstar is available (and fits the team) then you go after him.

No doubt, Morey flipped Ariza because his contract started to lose it's luster, and will more than likely do the same with Lowry too, especially since Ish offers the same style of play only as a better passer.

That is what I was saying, so many people are saying we are going after a Superstar, that is Morey's stated strategy etc...

IMO, that is no strat at all, it is more about being opportunistic.

So, since we agree, what is the strat?

AB is our best PG. It's not really a debate at this point.

That being said, I'm not completely opposed to AB providing some scoring coming off the bench, as long as still gets 33+ mins and finishes out games.

So far this year we sucked with Brooks starting and we have sucked with Lowry starting.

This team is missing health. Period!

I think it's hard to say right now, mainly because we don't know what type of team we have. Once Morey knows what he's going to do with Yao, then we will know what we need to build and what type of pieces to acquire. For now, I think Morey is just trying to upgrade positions.

Agreed and that has been the main thrust of my posting for the last couple of years, that it is not about this year, but next year.

And that until the team decides what to do with Yao, they are stuck in a holding pattern, and in a land of HOPING Yao gets heatlhy.

Who knows, maybe it will work....I am sure we would all be much happier if it did.

But the true measure or test of DM as a GM will be this offseason and what he can do with Yao.

Check that...what Les LET'S him do with Yao.....honestly, unless Yao signs a low contract, I am getting more firmly into the "thanks for the memories" approach and trade him or let him move on.

Better ran team? how many 24-second turnovers did Rockets have last night?
How about 18:0 run in the 4th? Is that how you ran a team?

33:7 is not coming a little short. It was a total ownage.

Lowry is a good player. He is very smart, good effort, big heart. He is everyone's favorite player but one thing he has to force himself to do: shoot the ball. We wont lose because of Lowry's shooting, we will definitely lose games because of Lowry not shooting.

Damn....we've gone from investing wisely, to spewing bad contracts. Lowry's has got to be the worst. Every year when its not basketball season, I anxiously await it, but right now I'm not even enjoying watching us play. I don't know what's more painful to watch, the Rockets not playing any defense or the Texans not playing any defense. Everyone can say what they want of Van Gundy's "boring" system, but I'd much rather us be a great defensive team than a great offensive team.

Gundy wouldn't be able to get that much more defense out of the guys on the roster now......

Unfortunatly the defense is predicated on having a 7'6" guy in the middle and he has just not been there enough.

Kyle Lowry is definitely NOT my favorite player. He's way overpaid and he coudn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

I agree. I'm just frustrated with my Houston teams right now. I needed to get that out of my system.
