That's an interesting comparison...he could be our Jason Terry or Bobby Jackson...hopefully with a lower salary than Terry, though.
Brooks should be a backup and I wouldn't trade him unless we get something really good. He's still the only player that can create his own shot off the dribble and he's the biggest match up problem for the Lakers.
AB forgotten how to dribble after getting injured or was his ball security overrated before? He's constantly losing the ball when dribbling in traffic and keeps throwing bad passes. Brooks suppose to be an All-Star PG right? How can an All-Star PG handle the ball so poorly, even coming back from an injury. Hopefully it is just "rust" cause Ish Smith has looked A LOT better running the 2nd unit than Aaron has so far.
It's definitely rust and trying to figure out his role on this team. Give him at least a few weeks to get fully healthy, recover his game and learn to play within the system, and he'll be fine.
Let Brooks take it in stride, hopefully he regains his old form back. But it's clear things really have changed for him compared to last year. If he should play more of a pg. then i hope he can adjust his play to be more like Lowry's, especially now that his role on scoring has changed with Martin and Scola producing most of the points. If he should play more of an sg, then i hope Rick will find a way to fit that in our offense. I could see him playing the sg on limited minutes when Martin has to take a breather.
