Loads and loads of irony and hypocrisy going on here. Remember when Kyle first came back to start the season playing crappy and this thread was created?? It's the same thing that's going on with AB right now.. got to give him some time to get his feel back. Stop being so reactionary off of small sample sizes. SO glad some of you guys aren't Rockets GMs
Brooks should stay with the Rockets after this season only if he agrees to be a spot-up shooter. He shouldn't make any other decisions because he can't.
dude even you have to have seen that was one of the worst offensive possessions of the game...brooks iso dribbling at the top of the 3pt line for 10 seconds and then shooting a contested fade 3 ptr? it went in so it was a positive for the rockets in that sense but that was not a good possession at all if that is what he is going to keep doing we are going to start seeing far more misses than makes from 3. AB needs to concentrate on what he does best, just 1-2 dribbles and shoot or a set 3 or driving the lane not doing his best steve francis circa 2000 impersonation
That 3 was horrendus, it was lucky that went in cos that has to be the worst shot I've seen this season from any rocket. Down 4, isolated against Jeremy Lin of all people, and AB dribbles the clock down and pulls up from 30 foot.
Oh man. I can't believe you point this out. AB dribbled for 10 seconds to throw up a well contested prayer. Luckily it went in. That is not the RA OFFENSE. It's more like the last second desperate shot. The next move? He left Lin all alone by himself to drive to the hoop for a layup.
All I know is that once AB regains his touch, the backcourt of Martin-Lee-Lowry-Brooks is going to be outright deadly.
I think Brooks got subbed out for good after he could not get the ball to the front court in 8 seconds, although he was not really being pressured.
Are you serious? Really? You are judging one poor possession, where the ball went IN the net....on a 3pter when we were down 4? Talk about picky !!!! Come on, the guy is getting back from injury....we need both AB and Kyle to win. Kyle has been great, but he will struggle in some games and we will need AB to carry the load......same thing when AB struggles. Mind numbing, seriously mind numbing .... DD
AB will need more time to gain his speed back. He's nothing without his speed. But even if AB gets his speed back, he isn't going to have all those intangibles Lowry has. Like the steal and flagrant foul, the steal that stopped the 2 on 1 fast break etc.
By the way, the OP Is being exposed as king of knee jerkers. I dare say there's no stopping Lowry now, the man is a force and is proving he is a +++ as a starter. Next, watch Brooks debunk the other thread below, he was part of the problem but he was not responsible for the terrible start. Just like Lowry did, in the present Brooks is struggling coming out of his ankle injury and has been better than Lowry then, as time passes Brooks is going to take our offense to another level. People have to stop being divisive with Lowry and AB, they are a two headed monster just as Scolandry was, watch out for AbLowry! How Ironic that the OP gets totally debunked in both threads.
I really like Brooks, but he should not get more money than Lowry. If he is happy with that, extend him, if he thinks he should get 9 M or something per year, trade him before the season is over.
No one is saying we don't need AB, he is what he is, a BENCH scorer that you throw out there and see if he has it that night. Meanwhile we have a legit STARTING PG that should get the majority of the minutes in Lowry.
Brooks should accept his role and try to play like Jason Terry does. Be happy off the bench, be a clutch performer down the stretch and I will be ecstatic.
Haha, what a strange turn of events. Now it will be Lowry who has to convince Brooks to stay and come off the bench.
When ab gets his legs back ra will find a way to use his scoring to our advantage. Will it be from the bench?
