AB is not killing the offense. Actually I think Rockets might pulled out a win against Spurs if AB was running the last plays in the end. He is the best closer from outside at game ending situation for Rockets at this moment.

On the other hand, AB is absolutely killing the defense. Rockects need to scramble way too much on defensive end with both AB and Martin on the floor. Ish has done a whole lot better in that department.

As one of Lowry's biggest supporters, it pains me to say this: he should the man out if it brings us a s/f that can help us.

Think about, Lowry's style of play is more similar to Ish than Brooks. Therefore, for diversity purposes, you keep Brooks. I don't think management will tie up $15-16M worth of salaries in two pgs.

Sure, it has only been 1 1/2 games, but Ish's game has won me over. Dude is dishing precise passes in full stride, wrecking the opponent's defense.

Brooks is still a tremendous player. Brooks' supporters are correct in that his value to the team will be elevated come playoff time when it becomes more a half-court game and 3-point shooting from the pg position may be the difference in a tight game.

Meanwhile, Ish has a great opportunity to show the Rockets (and the league) if he is for real, starting off this Wednesday against John Wall.

That's a good point. Ismael's emergence would actually make Lowry more expendable. I'm surprised DD hasn't thought of that, or maybe he has and I missed it. Not impossible. Also, by close to the deadline, AB should be back to his old self.

Man, going up against Wall. Not much pressure on the kid, right? ;)

I said it in the summer league Deckard, it was pretty obvious to me watching those games that he had better court vision and awareness than Kyle or AB.

And after watching him in the preseason, I figured Lowry was a goner.....but because we signed him to a restricted matched contract, it will probably be next summer that he goes.

Clutchfans, Degeneration: The next episode: Celebrating A Player's Injuries

When fans here have become so self-obsessed that they celebrate injuries to players in order for their agenda to be right, it's a sign that reasonable discussion is becoming continually more difficult...

Are you guys so sure that you're smarter than coach Adelman that you'd be THANKFUL for injuries to real life players, just because you know better than the coach?

    I just fixed that. :)

Doesn't matter what it's rated, though - the OP was just conveying information.

would be funny if we start getting a winning streak in his absence.

That would be outstanding...we need a winning streak.

Of course they probably win with him playing too....but whatever ...let's win.

    ANY winning streak is good.

If people want us to lose so AB looks better, all I have to say is WOW. Just wow.

Haha. I'm not starting now. I've never been a huge Brooks fan. I think he's a talented player, but to me he's a better shooting less athletic Steve Francis. Stevie killed the offense with poor decisions. Brooks isn't near the bad decision maker the Steve was, but when you combine his bad decisions with his awful defense it hurts us.
