How in the hell did we get a 1st round pick along with Dragic for Brooks? If anything we should have gave up a 1st round pick along with Brooks for Dragic. Morey has done it again. The value here is too good.
Meh... by the time the deadline approached, Brooks needed to go regardless. I am simply happy that we didn't have to give up a pick for someone to take him, given how bad he's played. He has seem to turn things around and PHX's system should be ripe for him to take advantage of. His court vision and D is still very lack luster. I would have been content with AB for Dragic, but the pick is great.
Over the last 3 games AB is averaging: 19ppg, 4.6 asp, 1spg and is shooting 65% from the field and 58% from 3pt land in only 21 mpg......WOW!! Thats pretty effing amazing for a backup point...although he did start onoe of those games..
Haters gonna hate. j/k But I am happy for Brooks to be doing well in Phoenix. I think it was the right move to trade him, and I was delighted that we got Dragic in return. But, I am still happy for former Rockets to do well in their new homes. Brooks was an important player for the Rockets, and he was a key piece of the best team we have had in the last 14 years. I won't let 1/2 bad season make me forget that.
So ab has had 3 good games with the suns, awesome, that's more than he had with us all season. He would never accept to being a backup to Lowry. I am glad we have Lowry and got rid of aarons me first attitude, good riddance. I am also satisfied with the deal we made dragon is great back up pg that knows his role.
It's unfortunate how things ended between Aaron and the Rockets. Part of it has to with the Rockets. I would only wish Brooks best luck whereever he ends up next year.
