Doesn't sound like you're familiar with ankle sprains...It's been a month. You could easily be out 2 months with a really severe sprain. And after new year's? Let's stop and think about this for a second. He's close to healing completely. The lastest reports have him working out in full speed drills. He's been working on changing directions at full speed. So he's surely able to sprain by now. Something tells me he's not going to need 3 weeks to go from that to playing.... And there's no "misinformation". Is is misinformation when a doctor tells you you're flu symptoms will get better in a week and it take a week and a half? Is that unacceptable?
Seen AB warming up before te games and he looks fine, no limp whatsoever. And I can tell he has gradually increased the intensity in his warmups. His shoot looks good but this is just warmups, but hopefully it's a sign. Hope to have him back soon.
I can see the frustration with Brooks being out so long. If you ask me, it's less a comment on Brook's specific injury and more a comment on how Rockets players seem to get hurt frequently and heal really slowly under the care of the Rocket medical staff. Part of it is chance but at some point as a long time Houston fan, it's rather hard to swallow the continual disappointment when your players suffer lingering injuries time after time. Part of me says, AB would already be on the court if he were playing in Phoenix under the care of their medical staff....just saying.
They don't really sell that here. I wish they did, it's hard to find. I only know of one place in Southern Arizona that does...
Jonathan_Feigen Jonathan Feigen Aaron Brooks went through some of practice for 1st time since Nov. 6 injury. Won't play in back-to-back. RocketsJCF Jason Friedman AB went through about three-quarters of today's practice but not yet ready to return. No timetable for him or Yao (who did not practice).
true, but treatment and rehab should be way better. seems like everyone gets hurt and is out way longer than expected when it comes to the rockets. yao, tmac, battier's foot issue last year, etc.
how closely do you follow the other teams and their injuries? A lot of fans think like you, but they don't realize how often it happens around the league. Off the top of my head, Kmart, bynum, Przybilla, delfino all had their time pushed back in a similar way.
They are just trying to keep the fans around. Keep our hopes up. Keep the seats filled....with false hope.
So many people lose sight of that when discussing Morey, that is a big part of his job, so when he speaks to the media, you always need to keep that in mind. As for Brooks, I think really soon. DD
