Probably not much better than a lowry/martin backcourt. Then again, Kmart was coming off a pretty long layoff and the team wasn't nearly as good last year as this year.

Still not much of an argument. With Kyle you get a couple more rebounds, and maybe another assist and steal. Plus his serviceable defense and the great attitude he plays with.

With ab you get 10 more points, another deep threat, decent defense and the actual ability to create his own shot. Not to mention free throws and he fact that he's one of our only clutch players.

Look, Kyle is great. Love the way he plays. But ab is a better starter and if he returns to last years form, your crazy for nrot wanting him to start. Healthy ab is better than healthy Kyle.

****ing right. I know I'm not the only one seeing quick guards fly right by Lowry. It happens to AB too but at least AB has the ability to counter on the other end. Lowry became a fan favorite of some because of his bench play. He needs to go back to that role and create for the more athletic line up. The starters need Brooks

If he is up to par then yes.

We need more than 2 scoring threats in the starting line-up

Lol, yeah ab was the sole reason we lost. With that logic I'm blaming Kyle for the other 16. Our offense, aside from the ridiculous dry spells ( and yes they happen even when Kyle plays *gasp* ), isn't the problem. Its defense. And that is all on bud.

What is the point of this being asked amongst us anyway? It is debated so often and yet no matter how we feel about it it has no influence of Adelman's decision. What a waste of typing I just did to answer this thread too. :(

I'm actually enjoying the small backcourt of Brooks/Lowry starting off games.

Then, we can have Lee/Martin backcourt come off the bench. They'd thrive playing off-the-ball with Miller throwing passs from the high post.

I know it wouldn't happen, but it would be an interesting twist.

here's a way to think about it..

who works better off the pick and roll w/ luis and our to-be-stud-center?

gotta be brooks: faster, quicker to the rim, demands defenses respect his shot, can create his own shot off a pick much better than lowry

who works better w/ really athletic players (aka our bench) who profit off pushing the ball, fast breaks, and quick reads early in the shot clock?

gotta be lowry: hustle player, better court vision, better pace, better decision maker in the open court

in my opinion, our first unit plays better defense as a whole than our second unit. albeit, there are better defenders in the 2nd unit (word to courtney lee and jared jeffries) than in our 1st unit, there are significantly more defensive lapses. and i know the kevin martin argument which suggests that we should have a better defender at PG when he's on the court, but in general, i'd prefer lowry's defensive presence with our second crew and AB's defensive deficiencies covered by team defenders like battier and chuck (when he gets back)/our soon-to-be-stud-center.

    hope that made sense :)

Pay him of equal value to Lowry & make him 6th man (jason terry-esque); to become owner of the underworld. Either that or bench kevin martin right?

    Defense!

Brooks has failed to replicate the effect he had on the court for us last season. Untill he does, he wont start.

Plus we need a playmaker/creator with good d more than another scorer in the starting lineup. Brooks in IMO is the 3rd best undersized SG out there behind Ellis and Terry. He is better suited coming off the bench.
