Indeed. If Lowry was traded tomorrow in a deal that brings back a vet-minimum backup PG, Brooks will not seek a better deal.

Obviously, Brooks believe that he's worth whatever salary Morey propose to him, as long as it's higher than his backup. This is certainly very logical. Why other people can't see this is strange. Brooks doesn't want more money because, well, getting paid more is good. Brook wants more money because Lowry gets more money.

We all know that we don't want raises at our jobs because more money is good for our own lives. We do so because there are people making more than us while doing similar jobs. If we had sought a job in a 3rd world country, we'd be happy to cut our salary in half because that would still be much more than the people there make.

Not sure if this was posted yet....

Morey was on 1560 this am and basically said that he sat dpwn w AB and explained that even if he were to get his extension now, Lowry would STILL be making more than him so this whole issue is irrelevant

We could extend AB now to the same deal Lowry got and trade away Lowry next offseason, then Lowry wont be on the same team.... bye bye Lowry..

No one from that draft class is currently making more than Lowry though.

    Rookie scale and all.
