Don't expect this even without Francis & Mobley. Two major additions in off season. :p

    Francis/Mobley without a doubt....

Francis would posterize Brooks!!!!, while Mobley would shut down Martin!!!

With Francis/Mobley, Yao was clearly the third option (in their minds), to which I say NO.

Wouldn't it be fairer to compare Brooks/Marin (in their prime) as well. In my opinion, we haven't seen that yet, so how could we ever tell? Next season, we might be able to answer this fairly.

I suppose it would depend on the system. The ISO fit SF3 and Cat better, even though we all hated it. I would love to see how those two would fare in RA's system with Yao posting up.

Have to go with my boy Franchise and Mobley. There is some bias but Francis was one of the top PGs in the game when he was in his prime so Francis>AB. But Martin>Mobley although Mobley was a superior defender but Martin is an elite scorer. But at the end of the day I'd have to go with Francis and Mobley combo because Mobley could also put up some points he was no Battier.

Brooks and Martin are the better scorers, but Francis and Mobley were the better defenders (solely to Mobley). SF and Cat were better at assisting others. LOL. SF and Cat were better at rebounding. SF and Cat were healthy as I expect Martin to miss some games. I give the edge to SF and Cat, but not by much.

That was the answer i most expected.

    Brooks/Martin cannot play defense.

    Damn,

I have never forgiven managment for giving up Mobley in the T-Mac trade.

He shouldv'e been part of this team for much longer, with or without the heart condition.

The guy could play and still produced with the Magic, Kings and Clippers.

Brooks and Martin. Both guys can shoot from any range. Neither of them dominates the ball. Also they are much cheaper which will enable you to spend extra money on a great center and a great PF.

    True.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Franchise and Cat try to convince Rockets' brass to deal Yao to the Clips for Lamar Odom?

    brooks/martin without a doubt.

Cat was cool, but franchise didn't do crap with Yao while brooks escorted the rockets to a playoff victory.

Not to mention steven was more of a ball hog type of player and it was just him and cat throwing alley oops all day. Entertaining though.

that's not fair to steve & cat tho, because 08-09 rockets were much more talented and deeper than the squads francis and cat had.

and, lest we forget, the first team that Yao/Steve/Cat faced in the playoffs was the lakers.
