Brooks is only being paid about $1,100,000 this year . We ought to start a charity foundation for the little fella. Great PG to have if we have a foundation of stars going after a championship. I think he's a great third/fourth option on a championship team.
Out of all people to blame Brooks is just not reasonable. He was hitting everything before that shot and no one else was doing jack, including Landry who lately has majorly struggled with his double coverage. You should mainly blame Horriza for missing wide open 3s yet again. And I say that after he miraculously hit that three to send it into overtime. Man, I wish we had never ever signed him.
AB's layup is effective during the regular playing time, but the layup when teams need a basket to tie or win is pretty difficult and AB always tries to challenge it.
Yao are asking too much. Shaq wasn't the closer in his prime. With the current rules, any team can deny entry pass at any moment of the game by sending multiple defenders. It's up to parameter guys to find out other options in that situation.
Im not only talking about tonight's game, I mention the 3 or 4 other games AB has driven to the goal for the game tying or winning shot, twice he lost the ball out of bounds, once he got fouled and they didnt call it, and tonight he just missed what was a pretty hard shot. Im just saying...maybe he should look to kick it out or pull up for a jumper...because right now..it seems every time he is looking to go all the way to the hoop....teams will notice that if we are
That missed call eventually decided the seeding. Rockets could have been 2nd seed and went even deeper.
Ok who would you rather go to??, he is our best player, and he is the only player that make baskets down the stretch, he is young player and he'll learn from those mistakes and make the best out of it...
horrible thread, our leading scorer and most gifted and skilled guard on the team is who takes the shot......ala brooks... its either him or landry, i love the eff out of landry but the double team forces someone other than him to make the shot... honestly a really unnecissary thread..
Yao is clumsy as hell and can't even seal his damn man off. Yes AB should get it over Yao, you give it to a guard or crafty man who can make a versatile move. To depend on yao for w.e reason it maybe is a fool's game.
I think most people would agree that Yao is indeed overpaid, but like 90% of the time in those scenarios the best perimeter guy, whom is Brooks at this point gets it. Even look at Hakeem - I know of quite a few clutch end of games made by the perimeter players around like Elie or Maxwell, but how often did Hakeem ever make last second game winners? I can't remember anything, because that's just not the jobs of centers. And of course, Yao can't even touch Dream.
I still think they should practice a 2-second play with Budinger doing a catch-and-shoot off of a double pick, with Brooks as the second option if Chase can't get open. Budinger is the best catch-and-shoot guy on our team.
The only thing that needs to stop is when we have the last possession and he doesn't start moving until there's only 4 seconds left. Oh, and Ariza...
brooks and landry are the best scorers on the team, so give the ball to them at the end, that shot was almost gets in.
