Brooks is now 1 for 3 in clutch situations for March 2010.

And it sounds to me like AB is 'getting it'. Good for the man's growth, maturity and future leadership of a contender!

A lot of you complain about Brooks missing shots at the end of games, but the fault for that lies in Adelman. He constantly runs the most predictable play in basketball (the AB ISO at the top of the key) everytime we need a basket at the end. This play usually makes AB either get fouled (no call at the end of a game) or take a wild shot that is tough to go in.

Can't really put that on AB.

    Big shot last night

Back to the ages old never answerable question: why are the last seconds not equal to the 47+ preceding minutes?

Corrollarily, what does 'let them play' really mean? Why can't a pitcher in the 9th bean a batter or a DE mangle a QB in the last 2 mins?

And back to AB: 1 for 3 may be about average but AB's growth curve is my consideration. He has proved to me he'll get more clutch as he has gotten under better control and more assist oriented and and and AB is a real Rock!

Look, if he gets a good shot, that is all I care about...sometimes you make sometimes you miss...and he is CONSISTENTLY getting a good look.

    Good enough for me.

So you're basing this on whether we win or lose? Or just his shots in the clutch? Why didn't you factor in his missed FT? Do you have different weights for shots taken when we're down as opposed to shots taken when we're tied or have the lead?

Hitting a buzzer beater period is very good. At least he doesn't shy away from late game situations like a p***y... cat.

Brooks is not the perfect player, and he does make some crazy mistakes. But, this total undermining of his clutch play is silly, I won't even mention last night.

    based on his performance.

If he's clutch and someone else blows it, i think you're right, it should count as him being clutch.

THis game he was definitely clutch.

Then do you discount him at all for his missed FT last night?

None of those videos show AB hitting a game winning shot. Getting hot and bringing your team back or hitting a shot at the end of the game when your team is up is not the same as hitting a game winner when the game is tied or your team is trailing.

This post should be title "Brooks has never hit the clutch FT's in the last minute" then it'd be appropriate. He does have a tendency to miss FT's in the last minute or so. It's something even Worrel made reference to after he made 1 out of 2 FT's.

Wow we have a 20/20 PPG backcourt, an all-star center coming back, and a probable upcoming lottery pick (with a very good GM and a capable coach) and all people can do is complain?

This is really Brooks 1st full year as a starter give the kid a chance. Point guards take time to develop and I think he's got outstanding potential. He's done a helluva job.

No, he saved himself - the fact that he missed the FT before hand only makes his shot more clutch - that much more pressure on him.

I see. Not trying to be mean, but your analysis is far too subjective and thus extremely unreliable.
