Guys obviously he's just getting LUCKY on these last minute shots. I'm sure one day he will miss a clutchez again and prove that he is an inept player with no place as an NBA starter.

It's actually much easier than you think to come up with a metric that's more reliable than yours. All that's required is a set of parameters that's strictly followed. Yours is useless because it's entirely subjective.

For instance, if I took your exact guidelines but limited it to events that occurred within that last 90 seconds, it would be more reliable than yours. It wouldn't even come close to telling the whole story, but it would still be better than yours.

I really think most of the time he can't hit the clutch shot when he drives in, but when he does the step back.....WIN. Anybody thinking he can't be a championship PG are ignorant. Next year he will be even better and even deadlier for clutch shots.

So its about if they suck in a skill, dont even try to do anything remotely close to the sucky skill. Even though in the end they'll not even posses the skill (like Chuck Hayes outside shooting)?

Because they're not working through their weakness, does that automatically mean they're maximizing their strengths? Strength through avoidance (As in Joey Dorsey better never do a crossover dribble).

Whats the difference between performing worse from deciding to play through a weaker skill, and performing worse just because? Its by far a poor shooting year and career low FG% for Lowry, there's not even a MENTION of it. :) But Lowry has raised his play in other areas no doubt. His 3pt% has gone up though overall it still sucks ass.

I actually agree with all the comments, I dont disagree. Just doing it for debate sake. I guess having $5 and wasting it is worse than never having $5 at all.

Brooks becoming less and less clutch. Come on people, what else does he have to do?

Two clutch free throws today, after that huge 3+1 play. Brooks has certainly read this thread.

Brooks has learned how to drive in a shoot the ball out then it gets passed around the perimeter for an open shooter.... he has stop taking so many crazy layup attempts.... his step back can be deadly... Lowry has to rely on the foul calls he gets, which wont be called at the end of games so...

Objective, subjective, whateverective - it doesn't take any metric to clearly see Brooks is definitely a clutch player.

In fact, he's more clutch of a player than I've seen in a Rockets uniform in a very very long time.

Yep....at the end he had 10 of 13 points to take the lead back and close out the game.

And the other 3pts he broke down the defense drew a double team and passed it to a wide open Kmart for 3.

    AB is awesome !

This thread is getting dumber as it gets longer. Can someone make a graph proving my point, post it, then lock this thread? Thanks.

    AB makes baskets.
