If we land the #1 pick, it makes for a hell of a trade chip. I'm sure Toronto wouldn't mind picking up John Wall (Shane + Jeffries to round out the deal for Bosh). Or even Evan Turner, they can flip him for the rights to Rubio, whatever. So many possibilities, but I'm sure Brooks brought up the "what if I get the #1?" with Morey. I certainly would.
Damn, that was the last one I watched, I could have sworn that's how it went, oh well. That was a long time ago... surly I was stoned, but I could say that for any day the past 10 years. I guess I could go back and edit my original post so I look less like a dumb*ss.... f*** it. Repped for clarification.
Tell me about it. Nothing excites me more than missing the playoffs and likely getting the worst pick in the lottery. Woohoo!
Haha, my second thought after hearing it was AB (first was I hope he does as well as SF3) Q: "What do the Rockets need with the first pick?" A: "I know we don't need a PG" Or something to that effect - going from memory. Bring home a top 3 pick, AB!!
One thing I give Brooks credit for is he is always helping out the Rockets whether its on the court, bank appearances, going to china. Ever since their rookie seasons, the Rockets have been overworking Brooks and Scola.
The Magic won the 1992 lottery with only a 1% chance of winning it. The Rockets have a 1.8% of getting a top 3 pick. It could happen. Make it so AB.
The odds on the powerball lotto is a lot worse than 1/200 (the odds for the 1st pick) and certainly 1/50 (for top 3).
http://www.nba.com/history/lottery_probabilities.html 1986, Philadelphia 76ers getting #1 pick, while being a 54 win team and a deal that they made with the Clippers back in 1979 for Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant. Wow, this should be a lesson to teams trading too many future picks, sort of like the Herschel Walker deal.
