You can replace Shaq with TD, KG. KB can win you a champion too. Shaq was also replaceable. Shaq was in lottery even he had Nash. Granted, he's much older at that time, but we are talking about lottery and Nash is still an all star. I can argue Shaq depends more on a quality perimeter player than Kobe does the other way around. IMHO, a balanced team is the key to the ring.
Actually, it isn't that ridiculous. Dwight Howard is only two years older than Brook Lopez. Lopez was born January 4th, 1988. Howard was born December 8th, 1986. That said, I don't understand when we get to accept that Dwight Howard is over-rated. Yes, he's a very good player. But just barely broke 20 ppg for the first time last season with 20.3. He's a great rebounder and shot blocker, but you can't go to him down the stretch. He reminds me of Shawn Kemp. And that's great, but people talk about him like he's the second coming of Hakeem or something.
Compared to yesteryear DH would just be a very good C. Nowadays though he's battling guys like Andrew Bynum and Lopez lol. Compared to those guys DH might as well be Hakeem. He'd probably be David Robinson if Yao wasn't injury prone, but oh well...at least he's humble like Hakeem
I hope Yi can learn from Lopez as they have the same height,at last they may play like another two towers.
There really hasn't been a dominant center in the league for some time after Shaq won his ring in Miami.
I kind of like his brother a little better. Before these two brothers retire, I hope they will play on the same team together. I like to see an identical twin tower for once in my life.
lopez is def a poor-man's yao ming, i wish we some how got that 10th pick from the nets, it wouldve helped us win a champion right away
the guy's team is one of the worst in NBA history. I doubt any dominant center would let that happen.
Because having Trenton Hassell and Rafer Alston in the starting lineup with Bobby Simmons logging heavy minutes can't torpedo a team.
