Nothing. No picks for the foreseeable future. No promising young players. They've got nothing unless they're willing to move Deron Williams. Williams hasn't been great the last few years but he'd definitely still be an upgrade for us.

I remember when Sam Presti was laughed at for taking Westbrook over Brook Lopez in 2008

I wonder who is laughing now?? Lopez will have missed 2 of the last 3 seasons with foot injuries

KG is done. Deron is a shadow of his former self.

Seriously, the only player on that team that may be worth a flyer is Mirza Teletovic. AK47 if he's not injured.

The Nets as a franchise is totally done...like gonna be irrelevant for years done...Highest Salaries/payroll, rookie Head coach, lack of future draft picks all just spells disaster in the making. Without Lopez, this team is really bad...

Im expecting a total fire sale for this team by the trade deadline

I could see a team tanking take a flyer on Lopez. We move move asik and let the third team make the salaries work.

If they had a 2014 or 2015 available pick, Asik is gone yesterday

Yup. They mortgaged their future on this season. Crazy Russian broke the bank on this aging roster and will now have nothing to show for it except the repeater tax. SMH.

    Dumb Question:

Do teams above the apron still have things like MLE?

KG to me sounds a lot like Reed to the Texans, I would pass and hope for a 3-way deal.
What a disaster the nets are, I blame whoever made the decision to hire Kidd

Brook Lopez heading down the Bill Walton/Yao Ming route.

KG would be perfect. But why would Brooklyn do that deal? They are trying to contend and trading KG doesn't do that. Then what happens when Lopez comes back next year. They would have two centers again.

    Nets are a cautionary tale

Never, ever, ever, ever dip into the luxury tax UNLESS your team is actually winning championships. Especially with this new cba

There are definitely moves to be made with the desperate Nets. This is exactly the opportunity Morey waits for.

Unreal. Atlanta is loving life holding that draft pick.

Unfortunately, Brooklyn has very little that is interesting. If they had anything, I'd try to leverage that with Atlanta... Asik would help the Nets a lot.
