We are all witnesses. There is nothing about this kid I don't like, mature, level headed, team player along with his great physical attributes and playing ability. I would trade T-Mac and our first round for Lebron.

Hakeem was pretty much a complete jerk to the refs until he calmed down later in his career. Today's superstars know not to constantly antagonize the refs. Dream brought some of that on himself. That said, LeBron's first game-winner was traveling for sure and refs clearly favor him.

It's good to see Gilbert Arenas get so much good pub from this series. Both he and LeBron are among my favorite players. I can't figure out who to cheer for because I can't determine which team would push Detroit the hardest. Neither team has any chance in the 2nd round.

    He is only 21....amazing !!

And it is fun to see how coaches have built teams to take advantage of the new "no hand check" rule on guards, it really opens it up.

However, I could not believe that JVG was the color guy, and was talking like CRAZY.....it almost did not sound like him.

He was making great inciteful comments, and you could almost hear him in Houston's huddle as the end of games...

How can "inciteful" comments be great? Do you mean "insightful"?

I seriously believe I will like him more if media don't hype him like crazy as they are doing it right now.

Lebron is great. But is that necessary to scream every time he breaks a Cleveland record? I mean, are there any Cleveland records worth mentioning anyway?

And I almost puked yesterday when the game announcer kept calling James' teammates "Lebron gang". Absolutely disgusting.

As for Lebron himself, I only have one advice for him: quit biting your finger nails, James. I have never seen a 21 years old big man, a father, bite his finger nails like crazy in public. At least, use some tools like Bibby does, don't use your mouth please.

I thought he was going to faint, because of Washington's poor defense. He must have said 100 times that "Now, I would double LeBron", "I would make anybody BUT LeBron to shoot", "It's time to double him now". They were driving him crazy.

LeBron can score at will, his strength is just incredible. The refs had some nerve to change that last play before the half time to a blocking foul on Jefferies. That would be James' 3rd, instead of Jefferies' 3rd, and one point lead by the Cavs. What's funny is, there was NOT any room for different interpretation. Jefferies was in front of him for a couple of seconds, hands down, feet planted, no matter what direction you look at it from, you can't get a blocking call from it. I guess they tried to "make it up" to call a blocking foul on him later in the 3rd on a AD's drive.

I think the hand-checking rule change sucks big time. All of a sudden, guards are treated as untouchable precious virgin, once you blow air towards that direction, they are going to lie down and cry. Even worse, they treated big men as dirt. We complained a lot about the treatment Yao got during regular season, but it's even worse in the playoffs. I feel for Shaq and Big Z. It's playoffs! It's a crime to abuse those big guys have the courage to actually play like a big guy, as Center.

Two of the worst defensive teams get together, it's frustrating to watch, but also fun, as long as I don't care who wins. It's a very exciting match. Both teams have talents, and both coaches are not good. Once LeBron can trust and help his teammates more, he can have some real success. But as a 21 year old, as much hype as he got before he entered NBA, I guess he still exceed everyone's expectation. Arenas on the other end, is a great scorer too, but clueless in defense, not that James is very good at it.

Take notes Kobe. This is what the future "Jordan" looks like. Sorry but as great as you are, you'll never be Jordan.

Lebron is amazing b/c the poise and humbleness he shows for a 21 yr old. Dude hit the game winner that probably sealed the series for them and acted like it was nothing, like he has done it his whole life. Kobe meanwhile, hits the game winner after the refs cheated and acts like he won the championship

I had similar perception about LeBron, especially after he was hyped by the obnoxious Dick Vitale. But my impression on LeBron has changed 180 since I watched a few games he played this season. The kid is very mature for his tender age. He handles himself well both on and off the court. Compared to the likes of punk ass Amare Stoudamire, LeBron is a breath of fresh air in the NBA.

That said, Dick Vitale is still a dick.

He's not even in the top three:

    1976 - Alex English
    1970 - Calvin Murphy
    1970 - Nate Archibald

Lebron seems like a cool guy so far. We'll see what he does this summer. If he goes to NY or LA, I will have lost all respect for him.. regardless of his talent. Can you imagine Kobe and Lebron on the same team. Not even a totally healthy TMac + Yao could beat that.

Lebron ain't no dummy. NY and LA don't have the cash. He'll end up signing a max extension this summer with Cleveland, with a player option for the 5th year so he can lock up that long-term money now while still being able to become a free agent when he's only about 26-27 year old.

I bet if Tmac showed a bit of emotion after hitting a game winner like Kobe, you would be saying "Damn, look how much heart Tmac has. I love it when he wears hit heart on his sleeve."

Stop being a damn fool, why cant you respect kobe's basketball skill and not hate him for being better than anyone on our team and better than 99% of the league.

News Flash to Kobe Haters.... everything Kobe does isnt wrong

Could have something to do with the fact that no one expected the Lakers to get out to a 3-1 lead and they are playing their best ball of the season.

Both players are great--let's just appreciate the fact the we can see them both in their prime(with the best still to come from lebron) and tell our kids/grandkids about them in 20yrs.

Oh im not taking it personally, didnt realise it came off like that.

IM just sick to death of someone picking Kobe to peices whenever he does ANYTHING.

"He walks the same as Jordan"
    Give me a freaking break

He's exceptional talent, no doubt. However, whoever with that "We are all witnesses" commercial will be hard to be liked by me.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I would compare Lebron and the Cavs to Michael and the Bulls early in Michael's career in that I think the Pistons will destroy them this year and they will be the hill he will have to climb before ultimately reaching the championship.
