    If this was written by Tmac, I have him all wrong. There is love in that poem. True love for a friend, not just a teammate. It's pretty amazing.

    I am wearing tears in my eyes, T-mac is really impressive not only because of his bball talent but nice personality.
    However, I can assure you YAO would never be reluctant to play for his country OR the Rockets, just save the crap of asking him to choose! :(

    What does "black ring consumes your soul" mean?

    Maybe this is out there, but perhaps it means "absence of a championship ring consumes your soul" ?

    The basic meaning shown in the last 2 stanzas was enough for me.

    While I couldn't graps the poem in its full entirety, I love the last two stanzas. That is real friendship and comradeship there.

    It's a poem. You can't use poetry as testimony. That would be like arresting a rapper for assault/drug possession/gun possession/rape/murder/etc because of what he said in a song. It's not great, but at least it's not one McCants' poems. Have you seen that crap? Go to his website, it's ridiculous.
