Well, I just recommended a game on your other thread so cheer up. Seriously, though, I facepalmed seeing this thread right after I did that.
Cut your losses, swear her off as a useless floozy you never needed, and move on. (Rejection sucks; letting it linger on like this makes it much worse). <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fCYXZJTylOY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Make sure the next woman you get, YOU wear the pants, it's so much easier that way. Seriously, do things your way, if they want to be cute and do dumb stuff, then move on to the next one. There are a lot of women out there and you need to go through a lot before you decide who you're going to spend your life with, if you don't... eventually you'll regret and by then you'll be too old. ( I'm only 18 but I took lessons from my late great Grandpa) That's a word from the wise.
Heartbreak makes you stronger, and a better person for the next partner. Move on, you will be better in the end. DD

Bro, she did you a huge favor - you will end up thanking her, because she was not your soulmate. This BBS and places where I've worked are littered with broken hearts that heal through time, good friends and good partying. Live on, life is worth it. Be happy - you owe it to yourself.
If she broke up with you via text message, then she doesn't give a s&*t about you. Take your cue and move on and find someone that does care. Seriously... if you are with someone over a year, you do not break up with them by text message unless you really don't love or care about them.
I'm pretty sure she found another guy. I know its easy to say just move on, but you gotta do it. Go out with your friends and have fun, that's the only way you will forget about her.
People change. Sometimes people don't want to admit they do. Other times we're greedy. Maybe she wanted to see if the grass is greener. Maybe she'll try to flip you back if she realizes it isn't. You can grow out of this detour. You're probably feeling ****ty at the moment. Now's the time to find something you want to do or learn. Think you can't cook for yourself? Learn to make three dishes and make it well. That six pack turning into a beer keg? Start running outside or spend money on some weights or gym membership. Happy evar aftar never means your life stops at that point. Neither does a break up or some life changing event. You always have to improve. These days even old dogs have to learn new tricks. Otherwise they get put to sleep. In this case, improving yourself means you get to upgrade to a hotter and more mature chick.
Like many have said, she did you a favor. You might still be emotionally attached so it's going to be hard for a couple of weeks, but think about the future--how better you are without her. Now, go out..workout, have some fun, do YOU.
Are finalsbound and moestavern still together? I know they were somewhat "engaged" a few years ago. What happened?
Oh and to the OP, don't take this personal, but you don't really seem like the strong/alpha man that women usually find attractive. I know it is hard to do, but men need to keep power in the relationship and not let our emotions get too involved. Women are like sharks smelling blood. As soon as they smell some weakness in you, they lose their attraction.
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/i_0FJicb8ao" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I give the OP this version since the intro fits perfectly with your quote. Take heart OP. At least yours isn't breaking up with you (like mine just did) because you chose to go to a graduate program/school to better your stagnant life. *sigh* All the advice on this thread is top class as usually is on the breakup threads. Kudo's to my fellow Clutchfans brethren. It's just tough going along with it but you all speak the truth. Take DaDakota's words to heart.
Just keep boozing it up, maybe throw some hard drugs in there and go **** some hot stinking women. You'll be fine, happens to all of us, you'll be ok in a couple months.
