You seem angry, for some reason. Anyhow, this movie doesn't interest me. I'm sure it's well made, though.
Can't you just picture the ending... two grizzled cowboys riding off into the sunset holding hands with "Wanted Dead or Alive" rocking in the background.
No desire to see this movie. I didn't want to watch the last melodramatic period piece that featured a mountain and had the Oscar buzz either. I think I want to see this less, though. If you want an example of a good movie with what I thought was a well-portrayed gay relationship, see 4 Weddings and a Funeral. It was part of the plot and it wasn't the whole freaking movie.
There are hundreds and hundreds of movies where a heterosexual relationship is the whole freaking movie. Do you have a problem with those as well?
you guys wont see it just because it has gay cowboys in it? really, how insecure are you guys? its based on a great book, its made by ang lee, it has 2 good actors in it, its getting great critical reviews, but you guys wont see it because you might get 'ideas'? i guess the lone guy in texas lining up to watch this movie will be omega supreme.
Somehow if it shows men on women then it isn't untasteful, but it is if it actually shows two guys making out? There is a double standard here.
i thought that was an ok movie, especially when they center in on the other characters other than the 2 leads. and the gay relationship in that movie was one of those 'blink and youll miss it' subplots.
I don't know why I should waste my time, but without giving anything away, there is the threat of getting the "crap beat out of them" throughout the movie.
its not an insecurity issue its a disgustingly wrong issue. call me close-minded if you want, but im definitely not gonna PAY to see gayness throughout a whole movie.
Yeah I'm totally insecure and worry that if I see the movie I might find that I actually like the subject matter and start rooting for the The Cowboys.
What I don't understand is why couldn't they make this a movie about lesbian cowgirls with Scarlett Johansson and Elisha Cuthbert. Disappointing.
First of all, a confession. I am a man trapped in a man's body I do not go to chick flicks. Likewise, I do not go to man on man flicks. Not my thing. I have watched Will 'N Grace though but mainly to see Megan Mullally. That b*tch is crazy!
You do sound closed minded, but not because you won't pay to see this movie. The movie just looks sappy, and over dramatic. I do think Heath Ledger is good, and the film has a great look from the previews I've seen.

Sounds like The Deep End . I thought it was a pretty good movie actually, although it took place near Lake Tahoe, not Utah.
Everyone has an agenda . . . Even those 'well thought out and well written" ones The way folx go about it is the only difference Rocket River
I'm glad you've said this. That character is written very well and the actress plays it perfectly. She's goofy, sexy and crazy all together. Very nice.
