I have to say I was spoiled being in New Jersey where I had great options like Optimum Online/Cablevision (Which I had) and Verizon. Our speeds were great compared to where I moved to now in Spring.

My choice was to go Time Warner cable or to go with ATT. I chose ATT since I was a Directv customer. So far my speeds don't match up to anything I used to have before. However, I see they now offer upgrade packages which will cost a lot more just to match the speed I had in NJ. Oh well, that's life.

Well I called TWC today, the guy was really helpful, he scheduled a "tech" to come out on SUNDAY. I was really surprised, I figured someone would come out until like late March. Hopefully they fix it, this is such a pain. No Gaming until Sunday.

You could change the modem yourself if you have a TWC store close by.
You could also change the splitter yourself -- if you know where the line comes in.
That is if you dont want to wait but Sunday is not bad.

So the tech came out today, he replaced something called a "drop" from outside after he climbed the pole .. He said the signal is way too high, and that when the signal goes too high the modem connection drops. Hes gonna get another tech to come out and look at it tomorrow. So far I have had no problems since he left.
