now think. . . she should have been force to do one year of college she would have something else to fall back on this is why people should not be allow to go str8 into the entertainment business they should have to do at least one year of college . . and the collleges should be able to have them entertain for free . . to help uhm . . .season them to deal with the pressure of being a star Rocket RIver
I'd hit her... with a metal rod across her face. I'm sorry, but I'm more of a Christina Aguilera fan (looks) Britney does not compare
It appears to me.. Britney's problem wasn't any inability to deal with the pressure of being a star.. It was her personality. Just look at her choices away from the spotlight.
thank you Dr. Phil, but you saying it doesn't actually make it true. her problems and fall from the top began while she was still massively popular. she had the biggest song in the world not much more than 2 years ago (Toxic) and was on the downhill slide not long after that. those would be some seriously fast-acting withdrawal symptons. the whole "having kids" thing more than anything kept her away from doing anything in terms of releasing cd's. and hell, she's still massively popular given that every bit of her life is detailed in magazine's and bbs's and tv shows everywhere. whenever i'm in the checkout line at the grocery store she's seemingly on the cover of at least one of the magazines, or is mentioned on the cover. considering how amazingly normal and down to earth she seemed in the beginning, it's amazing to see the fall she's taken. she basically just decided to start acting crazy one day and keeps getting worse. if she's smart, she'll clean up her act, get in shape again, have someone write a really good cd for her, and market it as a comeback.
see after a while, they both started becoming trashy. the difference is, christina did it by becoming slutty, and everyone likes sluts. britney did it by becoming white trash, and most people don't like that. i used to not like aguilera that much, but she's had some catchy songs recently and she's damn hot. i just caught the "candyman" video yesterday and that last outfit is muy nice. now she's a dog compared to britney at her peak, but that peak happened a long time ago.
all these young female singers follow the same pattern. they start out as the cute innocent girl, then once they start loosing popularity start dressing, acting like whores. they always say its because they're maturing, but come on ! britney, christina, ciara, jessica. all the same.
When you are a sex object at the age of fourteen, probably not terribly wise to begin with, and have no resistance or discipline for ten years, things are not likely to go smoothly. I am just dreading the Barbara Walters interview in 18 months. "Bwitney. It is 2007. You have no hair on any pawt or your body. Cut to now. You have a new wecord, a new husband in Tommy Lee, and a year and half sobwiety. Do you even wecognize the guwhl in these photos for 18 months ago?" "You know, I do, but also I dont...." SPARE ME.
I call bs on this; last reports had her doing fine. And now this? And what legitimate reporter would use language like "flipped her lid" and "terrified staff by writing the number of the beast on her head and running around the clinic screaming, "I am the anti-christ!" Seems a little too sensationilistic to me. Plus, how would British papers break the story before any outlet in the US has? And the part about her demanding she soon wanted another baby...I've never heard that before; it wouldn't suprise me if she said that but it was never mentioned in other reports.
You nailed it with this part. What most people don't realize that this is a person who has been sexualized (by the media, fans, record companies, etc) from a very young age. I've seen pictures of her both dressed and posed provacatively at the age of 13-14. Things such as this have a huge impact on a child's development. From a developmental standpoint, she's still stuck at that age. Without having any real-life experience, she's gone off the deep end. The media, fans, and the record companies created the monster that dwells within her, and now that she is experiencing the full consequences of this, everyone has turned their back on her. This whole situation is very, very sad. She'll be dead before she's 30 unless someone is able to help her get through to herself.
Agreed re: more media sensationalistic nonsense. I work at a very well-respected psychiatric clinic in Houston, and while I haven't experienced that, specifically, I've been in some very similar circumstances re: self-loathing and suicidal gestures. The f*cking media continues to try to tear this person down. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
Or just a couple of month ago when she was flashing her twat over and over again to get back in the news.
