There is no way you can pick what's going to happen after the lottery so I just did the lottery and the Rockets picks. The Rockets end up with 4 talented players including two high late picked high school players and JC player. They go big and make Francis3(and about million other Rockets fans) happy when they pick KMart. So here's the lineup after we get rid of Drew and Massenburg somehow.
    C Dream/Brown
    PF Martin/Austin/Rogers
    SF Williams/Stevenson/Bullard
    SG Anderson/Mobley
    PG Francis/Norris

Martin is ROY and the Rockets make the playoffs and have a good season. I can't say what they'll do in the playoffs because it's a whole new ballgame there. By adding Martin the lineup pretty much doesn't weaken and probably improves offensively, but most importantly defensively with KMart's defensiv prowess. And look at those 3 young guys sittin on the bench and none of them are 21 years old. In this draft the Rockets get immediate help in Martin, but build for the future with great pickups in the late first round and second round. BTW, Stevenson will be as good as Vince Carter if not better once he reaches his full potential and Brown and Austin will be solid if not All Stars in the future. Though Austin is behind Martin. That's my dream team right there.

No way the Nets take Mihm with the No. 1 pick , if they stay at 1 they take Keynon, surely if they really want Mihm (who they aparently aren't that impressed with anyway) they will just trade down a couple of spots.

The Nets taking Mihm with the 1st pick is not far fetched at all. A good portion of the GM's believe Martin and Mihm are the top two players. Van Horn has been adament about how much he dislikes chasing around the smaller, quicker small forwards in the league. So to me, it is perfectly logical that they draft Chris Mihm. Doc Rivers also seems to think that the Nets are eyeing Chris Mihm.

By the way, the Orlando Magic has already offered the Nets their two top lottery choices. I don't think the NETS would prefer the above trade scenario involving the Rocks that Soone... suggested over the Magic's deal.

With Van Horn, Feick, Echmayers and McIlvane, and a potentially never to be the same Willimas on their roster, you still think the Nets will take Mihm, they want and need some explosiveness up front, if they stay at 1 it will be Martin

Yeah I do think they'll still take Mihm. Jayson left a huge void at center for them. If he never comes back to full strength, it is just more reason for them to pick Mihm. Why do they have to pick a player that is explosive? Having an explosive front line doesn't insure anything? Plus, what do you think Van Horn is? Just another White Boy. He is a very exposive player. He can throw it down with the best of them.

NJ: Mihm (they decide the big guy they want needs to be really big)
Van: Martin (he is the absolute perfect fit for them.
    LAC: Swift (Taylor's replacement)
Chi: Pryzbilla (they really need a center)
Orl: Fizer (they get a PF they need)
Atl: Miller (no more scrub SF's)
Chi: Miles (Krause loves the kid)
Cle: Tsakalidis (their other Euro center is permanently MIA)
Houston: Moiso (big man with big potential and a good shot)
    Orl: Johnson (best available)
Bos: Barkley (What was Kenny doing at the lotter?)
Dal: Alexander (slid too far for Dallas to pass him up)
Orl: Richardson (they have to trade this pick)
Det: Olumide Oyedeji (I'm a Piston fan and this is my dream, leave me alone...)

And I'm sure I screwed up somewhere (And I'm sure I'd completely change it around if I did another one)

Don't get me wrong Van Horn has game and some explosiveness, but it is white boy explosiveness, and when combined with the other white boys in the front court (Feick, Evenmayer, McIlvaine) Mihm will just never work. For me they will either take Martin or trade down and get Two picks (either from Orlando or Chicago) so that can address their needs more directly, which are someone with a bit more size than Gill to play the 3 spot and a centre, which they should be able to get from 4 and 7 or 5 and 10. So how bout Gill and the #1 pick to Chicago for #4 and #7, which would allow them to draft Miller or Miles (maybe Alexander) at #4 and then Przybilla with #7.

I agree with Da Man--I think NJ will come away with Mihm, but maybe they do a little swap with Vancouver with future considerations involved.

    Here's mine:
    1.Vancouver--Kenyon Martin
    2.NJ--Chris Mihm
    3.Clips--Stromile Swift
    4.Chicago--Darius Miles
    5.Orlando--Marcus Fizer
    6.Atlanta--Mike Miller
    7.Chicago--Joel Pryzbilla
8.Cleveland--Quentin Richardson (the guy's stock has fallen, but you can't argue with 20 and 10)
    9.Houston--Jerome Moiso
    10.Orlando--Courtney Alexander (Randy Moss syndrome?)
    11.Boston--Russian/Greek guy
    12.Dallas--DerMarr Johnson (Nellie likes size)
13.Orlando--Mamadou N'Diaye (I know that seems high for him, but if they're not going to get Duncan they would want another center to compliment Doleac--different styles and all. I'd rather have him than Pryzbilla)

Oh yeah--why the hell is Erick Barkley's stock so high? I've seen him going in the lottery in some mocks (Monter has him at 6, I think, correct me if otherwise) and I just don't understand. Please someone tell me what he brings to the table over a Claxton, or a Dooling or, hell, even a Jason Hart. At least Hart has size--Barkley's tiny and weak.

Vancouver isn't trading up, they have their eye on two players that they would be happy with according to Versace. My guess is those two players are Martin and Fizer.

What the hell is white boy explosiveness?? Either you are explosive, or you are not.

Just curious. Van Horn is not a leaper, but certainly has the hops to finish STRONG.

Van Horn's vertical leap was reportedly measured out at 40 inches at Utah. I mean, he's not big on dunking over people. But I haven't seen an alley oop he couldn't finish with a flush.
