if they cant touch us, they cant get physical. physicality on a running team = whistles and more whistles.
what i see is A.Brooks dropping 30 on fakers' backcourt, making Fisher, Farmer,Brown and Vujacic four cry babies. and yes, Ariza posterizing Artest .....and one step further , bynum foulout
I think the Rockets can beat the Lakers until the leagues refs let Kobe and Artest run roughshod on our guys and hack their arms for steals. I can see a very physical game that they will try to give to the Lakers so as not to embarrass them by the upstart Rockets with Ariza over Artest. Thats just the reality I am preparing myself to accept so that I dont end up kicking out the tube to my television watching this travesty. I still think despite those calls like tonight though that went rediculously in Jazzes favor we could beat them anyways. Artest is a guy who could easily lose his cool and the game for the Lakers.
Houston Oilers beat the Colts 20-10 in Indy behind Moon's 361 yds and 2 TD's on their way to a 10-6 record and playoff berth. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199209130clt.htm (Probably the last time a Houston football defeated the Colts on the road.) Houston Rockets beat the Lakers 110-90 in LA behind Maxwell's 6 three-pointers on their way to a 55-27 record and WC semi's appearance. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199301180LAL.html
as usual? perhaps Shane has shut down Kobe previously, but if he did, it was an anomaly, not "as usual"
Rockets fast break, and running style of play will tire out those 7ft, large, rebounding players. Constant rotations, and bad fouls is what the L.A front court will be like. Brooks will have another double-double, and make D.Fish his b****. At least we wont have to watch Sasha school Wafer. I'd like to see him try that **** on Chase.
4 games in and you really think we can take on the Lakers? I hope you're right, but I just don't see us beating the Lakers unless Ron goes into Jordan mode. But then again I didn't see us winning against Utah so what do I know.
I'm ecstatic by our 3-1 start. Prior to playing the blazers, I told myself that I would be happy if we win 1 out of the next 3 games and so far we have won 2! With that said, I think it will be a bit hard for us winning against Lakers. Their length is going to cause a lot of problem for us (mainly Bynum and Odom. It looks like Gasol will be out for the game so that will help.
Isn't Gasol out with bad leg? They maybe bigger but look what that got them last time they played in H-Town. Plus this team is scoring pts fastbreaking which is fun to watch.
