I think the Rockets should pursue him either through trade, or in free agency. In free agency, he will be a restricted free agent, but the Rox may have about 7 mil to offer him to come to a winning team. However, right now he may be all about padding his stats. He would be the most likely option instead of D-Wade, LeBron and company.
memphis has already offered him 10 millski which he declined. we wouldnt be able to snatch him from them even if they wanted. but back to your poll, can you add HELL ****ing No as a choice?
No Chance, the griz offered him $10mil a year, he wanted $12mil, that's why he's a restricted agent and not extended.
guess i misread this article on chron http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/11/rockets_104_grizzlies_79_you_d.html Feigan " The Rockets will probably have $7 to $9 million to offer. There is no way the Grizzlies let Gay walk for that when they already offered him a contract for $10 million per."
Nope, the guy is all about stats as evidence, IMO, but trying two dunks last night down 27 points and what did he get for his efforts? FINGER WAGS!!! Give me Gasol before Gay
we dont have enough money to feed him anyway I dont know who will be sacrificed to be exchanged to M grizzle
Went to the game last night. He is extremely athletic, but he is not a great basketball player. He screwed up a bunch of plays because he was showing off and trying to make things way too difficult. Plus, he is playing alongside Zach Randolph, which will make him dumber and more selfish every night. Anybody who offers Gay $10/m a year is a complete chump.
Yeah, I was going to say that while I haven't seen him play much, what I have seen has been pretty unimpressive. I wouldn't say he sucks but he doesn't seem to manage much for a young would-be star player in his circumstances.
Not saying we should trade for him. But what type of logic is it for us not to try to trade for a guy because he tried to dunk twice down 27. What else was he suppose to do?
