My answer to this thread. Get Real!

Les is not bringing back JVG. He couldn't stand the dude. Pride is also a big factor. Adleman is now Les's man until Les can't stand him either. So that's just the way it's going to be for awhile.

I honestly don't know whose fault it is. Is it T-mac, is it Yao, is it Adelman? Yao is doing the talking, McGrady is getting the ball the most in games, and Adelman does nothing visible. Somehow, I don't think bringing JVG can solve any problem, because there will be a perference of the players who were here last year to Van Gundy than Adelman (and a 12-11 record doesn't help).

I dont want either back. Lets go for Brown...or lets let Air Bullard coach this game.

Haha that would be hilarious. "Ok, now lets stop the video...stop, stop the video, ok, as Tmac gets the ball, he is gonna run by Yao who is gonna set a pick...now, let Yao set the pick....show, show Yao getting the pick...ok now stop the video...see how there are one, two, three defenders around Tmac ...which leaves Battier open for the three."

I like RA, and I'd like to see him stay. However, I believe there are two problems...

The offense sucks. And it's not RA. The players keep slipping into the JVG offense. They keep standing still. The offense, which should keep players constantly in motion, is stagnant. And it's not the Adelman-modified Princeton. He can't do that with a center as slow a Yao and players who can't hit layups. And while I'm not saying to trade Yao, his normal offense can't be run with Yao Ming. I really don't know what to do.

But get rid of a coach of a system that is supposed to take a couple of years to learn anyway? That's silly. This isn't New York; we don't fire coaches after one season.

Does anyone else remember all the threads during the summer about the almost certain slow start the Rockets would have this season? I do.

20 freaking something game and so far on the poll, about 66% in favor of firing RA and demanding to bring JVG. First of all, JVG is history in the making, RA is known for sure as the future. I have'nt seen enough to say that RA has got nothing to prove. I still think that he is the best coach to lead this team.

so its still JVG fault the offense sucks?

so they hired a coach who isnt compatible with the team at all? Doesnt sounds like a good decision to me.

We wasted 4 years of Tmac and Yao and didn't get any closer....time for a new direction.

    a new direction...

how about right down the toilet?

RA is OVER-RATED. period. end of story. some offensive genius.

there's no doubt in my mind JVG would've at least gotten one win(out of the 3 games) versus the mavs this year.

another horrible night of lineups. another terrible offensive output. and there RA stands with that stupid look on his face like, "this is supposed to work. it worked everywhere else 5-10 years ago."

RA as the rockets coach is a disaster.

    BRING BACK JEFF VAN GUNDY!

I'd take my chances with a guy who was able to get 52 wins out of a team with less than half the talent this team has on its roster... in a conference that was even tougher last year.

They need a coach who can recognize what he has, and play to their strenghts. Rick Adelman is not doing that.
