JVG's team will never suck b/c they play defense. we won 34 games in a season where yao and tmac missed a ton of time. and the talent level then was ridiculously bad around tmac and yao.

JVG would turn this team into a top 10 defensive team and we'd be winning right now (though we still aren't championship contenders0

Not even JVG can win with a no-star team. At least the Knicks had Ewing, Camby, Allan Houston, Larry Johnson, and Latrell Sprewell.

Rockets only have Yao Ming, Half Man Half Experimental Foot Surgery Specimen.

Les would never crawl back to Jeff Van Gundy.

I really miss the Good Old Days. I knew before the tip that the score was going to be 78-76...

I just didn't know if it would be the Rockets locking down a playoff contender...or a Lottery bound team spurting ahead of the Rox at the finish line because the Rox didn't have enough offensive punch/scheme to put the game out of reach...as they walked the ball up the court.

I always thought we were better of with JVG. Sad how we chased him out of town.

I agree bring him back, I love JVG.

I have always thought that whenever RA is done here that JVG will come back. JVG still seems to love the Rockets and you know that the desire to compete and coach doesn't go away at such a young age.

I think Adelman is ok and I'm sure I will be happy with him when things get turned around but I would rather have JVG.

JVG did a lot when he was here if you think about how few players he had to work with.

The same coach you are asking Les to fire is the same one that got the Rockets out of the first round in 12 years. Did JVG do that in his tenure?

Van Gundy's comb over could have done a better job than Rick tonight.

Oh, and if a coaching change is in order (which I don't think it is), Mario Elie should be next in line

But at least JVG doesn't sit on the bench looking like he just had a massive stroke.

Does that prevent the team from getting wins?

Last time I checked, Rick is the more successful head coach

    totally agree.
from the first day rick became our coach, i doubted if we were going to success or not, because Yao will never be his style player.

I think DM is overrated a lot. i don't think he ever brought us very thrilling players. now we have many players who seemed no temper at all. we are going to be slaughtered.

It's not so much the coach, it's the identity.

We have survived in the last few years because of the remnants of Gundy's defensive principle.

We need to get it back.
