    Manny,

The last time I spoke about EG was about giving up our rights to him for NOTHING while still having to pay his contract, I felt that was stupid, still do.

This is totally different, we need a PF, and he is available, I don't care if we sign him or not, I just want to see people's reaction to the possibility.

Hell, he is EXACTLY the type of PF that the Rockets need..EXACTLY !!!

I wanted to see the temperature of the BBS on bringing him back...if you don't like the post.....then don't participate.

He said he fired it into the air to scare her....BIG difference Drox...

But whatever....it was stupid on his part.......no doubt.

    Young = Stupid....in most cases.

He is the type of pf the Rockets need; however, the off-the-court stuff is much too serious for us to considers signing him again; not to mention he's not a good lockerroom guy, and we don't want to destroy our chemistry.

Great talent, but not worth the risk at this point.

    well... as I said before...

My hatred for Eddie Griffin and Scottie Pippen transcends basketball.

    Thumbs down.

Uh, not really - you posted quite a bit about your fanaticism on him this past season. You were just pining away for his return. Thank God you aren't running this team. And I'll post here whenever I feel the need - especially if it is against things that make no sense whatsoever. Bringing back a loser who burned his bridges here MAKES NO SENSE!!!

I have seen the future of the Harris County Jail and his name is Eddie Griffin.

Thanks for your opinion, it is always welcome about the subject matter.

Just not about the subject poster.

Evidence about my fanaticism would be welcomed....I only think in terms of what makes my beloved Rockets better, and IMHO, a healthy and focused EG does that.....

You don't understand or agree....no problem...big deal.....just proves I am still WAY smarter than you.

He's not coming back, ever. It just won't happen, regardless of how much some of you want it to.

Isn't that enough? Why do we have to continue to debate this?

Bringing back Eddie Griffin is like marrying your ex-wife. She already screwed you over once and you come back for seconds.

No debate, just wondering whether people would take a chance or a flyer on his talent.

I don't care if he comes back or not, I just want the Rockets to be better.

The article plainly states that he was in the parking lot. True, he shouldn't have been there, but how do you or anyone here (based on the news article) know that he wasn't just driving past & witnessed the crime? I say that, knowing he would violate his parole, he still stopped & gave the police an accounting of what happened. That's what any good, upstanding, law abiding citizen would've done. And yet, people sit in front of their keyboards & pass judgement on him, just because he made a stupid mistake in the past. Give the kid a break, he could've just driven off.

That's sarcasm, right? It has to be. I refuse to believe anybody is able to dillude themselves to the point of believing Griffin just happened to be driving past a club, in which celebrities just happen to frequent, where he happened to glance over and witness a crime. He then thought, "Wow. I better stop and wait for the police to arrive so I can report this criminal activity. It is my duty as an upstanding citizien to do so. The police are our friends."

I don't think I'd do that, and I'm not on probation, or for that matter, black. (and before anybody accuses me of being racist for bringing race into the picture, refer to the statistics on prison populations. Clearly, the police enjoy sending black men to jail, because I refuse to believe that black people are just naturally more prone to committing criminal acts)

I just don't see CD/JVG taking another chance w/ this guy

My exact thoughts. If JVG were to leave though (which aint going to happen) CD might be willing to take the chance.

I don't like Swift and his price tag. EG would put up 90% of Swift's numbers at 20% the price. In that sense, signing EG would be a smart money move. Neither Swift or EG are starter material, so either would be bad move if the Rox know Howard is retiring with a bad heart.

If EG is getting his life together with the Timberwolves, the best move for EG would probably be to stay put.

We did. And he screwed up. Then we gave him another chance again. And he screwed up...

I also wonder how EG would respond to playing with someone like Tmac....I would have to think if your best player is willing to pass the ball, and be professional, it would rub off on EG.

Personally, I think he needs a role model, and certainly has a good one in KG...
