Do you like being good on defense?

Why in the hell would anyone actually believe that Allen Iverson would be a good fit in Houston? Did his negative influence in Denver and Detroit not let off any alarms with some folks? Did his list of suitors (Miami, Charlotte, Memphis and the Clippers) not drop any subtle hints that this guy is on his way to Steve Francis-ville?

I'm all about ideas and creative thinking, but this is just garbage. We have a point guard and a back-up point guard. A signing of Iverson completely goes against the direction the Rockets are going in, which is replenishing and reloading.

The team needs someone who at crunch time is not afraid to score. AI fits that description. He will give the offense a boost. :)

Maybe you haven't been watching the new AI. He's not the old AI. He doesn't score like he used to. his fear of jacking up however many shots he's allowed to throw up is nonexistant, but he's not making them like he used to. soooo, i think tmac fits that bill pretty well. no need for AI.

Of course, If Tmac is healthy enough to play then NO to AI. Till then, who takes the shot when the game is on the line? Brooks? Scola? Ariza? Maybe, but if AI comes cheap then it would not hurt the team to have him despite the drop in his game. He still commands a double team every so often.

Hell to tha, Hell to tha, Hell to tha NO!!! We were best when we moved that ball with AI it will be too much dribbling. Did you see him in Detroit. Hell let him go to the clips and prove he still has it before coming he to just get a paycheck.

I'm all for bringing AI on board. This team is going to need a true scorer and even though AI is not the 30ppg scorer he was in the past, he can still put some points on the score board.

The one draw back is the size of the back court. They would get abused defensively.

I'm afraid that AI is the poison to every team.
U just look at the Pistons and the Nuggets,u will find the ANSWER.
I think we dont need AI,just leave the chance to young players.
What we need is teamwork and passion. :)

yes we all know how much he can hurt a team with his selfishness but i think he would bring some kind of excitement to our team this year.

i would like to think he could gel with our young players and thrive in our new fast break team.

but who knows. just fun to think about.

Its not who is scoring but at crunch time who will take charge. It is difficult to say Trevor would be or Brooks or Scola. AI brings this to the table despite a drop in his game.

Its not like Adelman is unaware how to coach a street baller, we did have Skip on the roster for a few years.
