Even if that were true -- which it's not -- there's no rule saying a player has to play defense to deserve the MVP award. Other than in your head, I mean. If the award were for Best Player in the League, you might have an argument. Hard to imagine anyone being more valuable to their team this year than Harden. Maybe LeBron. Nobody else, though.
Uh that would be Westbrook...Cavs would still win 30+ games with no Lebron... Thunder would win no more than 20.. And of course we might not win 10!
