    O really?

You don't start respectful discussions like this.....and you know it.

Honestly, you need a bit thicker skin. That's not an insult, it's my honest assessment. I think you see things with a college basketball lens...and frankly, I'd say your analysis of the college game would be far better than my analysis of the college game. You are pretty good there.

But you try to translate that to the NBA. And it's a different game.

Also, you make these statements that to me are just bizarre. Like saying a playmaker is a bad thing when nearly every championship team...no, EVERY championship team has a very good one. The Lakers have Kobe, the Celtics have Pierce, SA has Genobli and Parker, Detroit had Billups, Miami had Wade, the Bulls had Jordan, the Rockets had Clyde.

I don't mean to insult you, but I do question your analysis and understanding of the NBA game. And...when you say things like we don't need a guy who shoots 20 shots a game and that we need a guy who plays hard on D....and then you advocate trading T-mac for K-mart.....I mean, i'm like, what is this guy saying?

Just seems like you are going to try to spin anything and everything into a way to get T-mac outta town.

Yeah, well, I disagree, and there are lots of things to say about other posters and what I think of them, but unlike others, I bite my tongue.

    Trust me.

Idiots who disagree with a point of view and don't realize there are different ways to accomplish the same thing?

I didn't say that, I am just saying he has a college lens to his analysis which doesn't always apply to the pro-game.

all of those ways still require a playmaker

I didn't say anything pejorative about you. So I don't know what on earth you are complaining about.

We actually agree on a lot of stuff, and if the NBA didn't have the 7 game playoff format, I'd say you are right in your analysis. But it does, and that changes things immensely...to win in 7 games is not like college where you only play once. But your ideas are more effective for a one-time show down where adjustments can't be made. You have a great ideas for being regular season success....

But you don't get what it takes to win in the playoffs based on your comments.

I bite my tongue until the moronic idiots start name calling and questioning credibility which is about as assinine and ludicrous as it can be.

No one has any more credibility than the next guy in reality, we are all just fans, it is just some of us are a lot smarter than others.

    A LOT LOT LOT smarter....

    ;)

    DD

PS - this post meant as a complete joke at the way people are reacting towards others these days, I should have just said **** it, and moved on.

Just as you said. Move on. This isn't really about credibility. ;) It is about how one can keep one's countenance when arguing. Those who lose their temper easily are not hard to handle. It's rather EQ than IQ.

You are a great asset to this board when you aren't posting about T-mac. And I do respect you and think you're pretty intelligent. Which only makes your weird obsession with T-mac that more bizarre. I mean really, we all have to bite our tongues with some of the posters here. I lose my cool too. You do too at times, everyone does, and I get that.

But you are the guy who is the number one poster on here in sheer volume, and with one of the highest ratings. You have a lot of influence and a lot of people repeat what you say. And a lot of people are also rubbed the wrong way by you to. You know all of this.

So live up to your REPutation man. Be a passionate fan, but try to be an objective one too. Otherwise, with the high profile you have, you have to come to expect and accept a lot of the vitriol that is going to be directed your way.

You ignore the fact that DD's reputation spiked mainly because of repeated anti-tmac tirades.... hating on tmac is a sure way to be popular on this board. Why would he stop now? DD's REPutation is solid proof that GARM has gone to pot.

I think his reputation is only partly as a result of that. His videos and many other posts get him rep as well. Besides, attacking the guy isn't going to do anything.

I don't agree at all. In my opinion, it's a combination of his previous body of work, his very good video "thingys," and DD's slightly annoying habit of publically "repping" damn near anyone who agrees with him, especially threads where he's getting some strong disagreement from members.

I kinda wish he wouldn't do the last bit. He doesn't need to and it looks a little like fishing for points.

This is 100% false....I don't get any rep for my anti Tmac threads, I get rep for many things like recaps, videos, and other poinent posts.

I certainly do not like Tmac and am done with him, but no one reps me for that view point.

I think once he is gone, or this is resolved we can all go back to being one fanbase again....

    Hopefully.

I believe in openeness about such things, and have said as much in the rep threads...but thanks for somewhat sticking up for me.

The bottom line is that I am not afraid of saying what I think no matter if it is popular or not.....and that can wrankle some people.....especially ones who disagree with me...lol.
