I'm pretty sure the poster you quoted said, "if you're unselfish from the start you can adjust." Way to cite the most selfish player in the league as your contradictory example... Hell, even Kobe adjusted after playing selfishly for those few years after shaq. He doesn't do that anymore, now does he..

Kobe is not a good example either, he is the best player in the league and far better than Tmac in everything he does.

And he finishes at a much higher efficiency rating.

AI and Tmac, while not the same type of player per se, actually have about the same efficiency ratings over the course of 10+ years of their careers.

While the casual fans perception might be that they play differently, the FACTS state otherwise.

How ironic his assist numbers high have been with the Rockets. What did you say. He can't fit into our system.
5.6 assists Last two seasons: 5.8 and 5 while injured respectively

Well, Kobe is averaging 33PPG on 25 shots while playing with options like Odom, Bynum and Artest. He's still selfish, just very efficient. :D

you just stated kobe is a better SCORER than tracy, and obviously he's more efficient. even blind fools can recognize that.

but your current argument is tracy is selfish as a basketball player, which he is not. tracy has always been a willing passer, ALWAYS.

remember when he first came here and defer to a yao ming? this is a guy who came off an all-nba 1st team selection and deferring to a developing center. WHO WOULD DO THAT? kobe wouldn't even defer to freakin' shaq.

when tracy returns (if he is still with us), he'll defer b/c he knows these guys can play without him (he's seeing it himself). he'll help the teams where they do need help (playmaking and post offense).

At some point, a player ceases to be selfish and becomes a closer, Kobe is a closer.

No, that is not my current argument that is your PERCEPTION of my current argument.

My current argument is he is not as much of a playmaker as people are saying he is...and while you bring hopes and beliefs, I bring facts.

In Sacremento, or somewhere else hopefully...and maybe some of you guys will follow him there too.

nope. the reason hes doing this is b/c gasol is out, and artest is new to the system. he understands he has to carry the team.

last year, he averaged only 20 shots (which is low for him) and only attempted 7 free throw attempts. the dude will pass the ball now.

watch when pau returns, his shot attempts will drastically decrease to 19-20.

so DD, using YOUR argument, marbury is also a better playmaker than tracy mcgrady, iverson, chris webber, kevin garnett, paul pierce...?

    is that right?

Our own GM and me share something in common, we can look at the facts and realize the truth.

LOL - of course Marbury was a better playmaker than Tracy McGrady.

It is not even an issue, Marbury was an A-hole but his playmaking skills were pretty good over the course of his career.

I am not sure what the problem is for you?

Do you simply like to ignore stats and make up arguments?

The facts do not lie....that is why they are...well...facts.

i remember vividly daryl said in interviews that for several years, tracy led the league in creating easy buckets for his teammates. THE LEAGUE.

Iverson played SG, Eric Snow was his PG for a while.....Iverson did play some point, but primarily he was an underszized SG.
