Your point fails. Can you name one aspect of his game that has improved since he became a Rocket?

A simple search on youtube proves you wrong.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBaPK40qL3s

    Ron Harper guards Stockton.

Your emphasis on "all of the time" implies that McGrady does guard the main offensive threat a considerable amount of the time. However, McGrady doesn't even guard the main offensive threat some of the time.

My point is that winning does cure all, but only if you're an uninformed fan.

Remember the 22 game win streak? Remember the Sacramento game where Novak hit the game winner? In the 4th period, we were up by almost 20. McGrady guarded Artest, and Artest proceeded to continually abuse McGrady to the point that Sacramento actually took the lead.

It becomes a problem when the opposing team has multiple wing players who are scoring threats (i.e. Celtics, Spurs, Wizards).

Saving his energy for the offensive end? I guess 15+ million doesn't buy what it used to.

This season, we're getting points b/c we're playing at a faster tempo and trying to run a fast break whenever possible. That hasn't been McGrady's style for a few years. Unless its a clean breakaway, McGrady prefers to walk the ball up the court and set up the offense.

Brooks is being effective b/c he's attacking the basket and rarely taking bad shots. McGrady does neither of these.

Yes, that was my understanding also. In fact, I was watching McGrady run stairs hopping on one leg, thinking to myself that he must be in really good shape!

Yes. That's pretty difficult excercise, at least I wouldn't do it myself on one knee.

Well he needs to get in game shape. All they are doing in Nov 25 is deciding whether he is cleared. If he is cleared then he will be able to run full games in practices as well as up his regimen to get in game shape. Mid to end december sounds about right if he is cleared.

I saw the footage of him working out on NBA TV......

I must admit he looked great....jumping up the stairs on one knee at at time.....then both....very nice.

That's an amazingly good sign. Not only that his knee is healing, but the incredible level of athleticism and strength it takes to do that.

I think he's going to be psyched to run and be part of this team. You are talking about a guy who has a huge monkey on his back that he hasn't won in the playoffs - you think he cares more about touches or advancing in the playoffs?

He's insecure, he's over-sensitive, but the guy is not the selfish egomaniac many accuse him of being.

T-Mac should play near the post to be more effective. I think he will help us in transition also.
