There is nothing that he can contribute to. Let's say he could actually win the team a few more games this year (something I don't necessarily agree with) -- what does that get us? A worse draft position. It also moves Budinger to the bench, which would be awful. Putting Budinger on the bench in favor of the McGrady Pay Me in '10 Tour would be reprehensible.

You think budinger is gonna have a bigger impact than Mcgrady????? Sure everybody will love the new guy in town because they have nothing to bash him on, but he aint sending mcgrady to the bench..

I dont give a crap about what you think of mcgrady, but do you have to disrespect the ppl who dont see things the same way you do?

The guy is making $20mm and wants another contract after the season ends. The least he could do is rehab properly. If you want a player to champion, at least pick one who improves his game each offseason.

Like Wekko has said, he is getting paid to play ball. Rehabing properly and working hard on his game is what EVERY nba star MUST do and should do. nothing special with what he did. I never said he did not work hard in rehad. All I am saying that rehabing hard does not equal to great performance on the court. offcourse it does increases the chances. there are incidences of guys coming back strong. The point where he is now is not good at all, someone who is still being questioned as to how much of his previous self can he be is not something to be proud of. Look at a guy like hill. he had great talent and IMHO was not anything less than tmac, but after injuries was never himself again. Offcourse there are guys like amere who came back really strong. All i can do is hope. There is no proof that tmac is gonna come back strong or not. All we can do is speculate and look at previous examples of guys who went through similar situations.

We are not hanging around this BBS just for fun but we wish to get insight on the team. I expect some good posts from someone who did a good job with his videos to continue to post positively. For my part, criticism turns to bashing/hating after the 10th post with the same argument in a row, espec. when someone is out with injury.
I'm rather speechless as to what you have posted earlier which was good insight, but when it comes down to minor players like Von/Cbud and Vspan who you seems to adore and Tmac you are getting way too emotional and subjective.

I respect their viewpoints.....I respect all Rock fan's viewpoints.

I am upbeat.....and emotional.......that is how my fandom works.

And, I do like to see young players develop, it gives me hope for the team's future......

stern and tracy are both cut from the same fabric.

they both care only about $$$$, and neither could give a rat's ass about the game of bball.

I am not sure about that. One thing is for sure.
He's not the youngest. However, at 30 one is not done. That's middle age in basketball. I know he's a wing player with 10 + seasons under his belt but I dun think he's as bad as last year.

It has nothing to do with his age, it has everything to do with his style of play and attitude....I hope TMac comes back and is pretty good, so we can trade him for more team oriented pieces.

My beef with Tracy is more about style of play and lack of competitive fire than it is about him coming back or not coming back.

You go way beyond criticism. I mean you bash the guy as being a wannabe celebrity which simply is ridiculous. T-mac - relative to the media attention he got (when it was positive) never tried to become a Kobe or Lebron James type. He's not the celeb wannabe type at all. It's these ridiculous accusations you make against him that just annoy me. It would annoy me when people do that about any Rocket's player.

He's a Rocket, and you can criticize him all you like, but at least make it legitimate criticizism. Don't twist everything because you personally want him off the team and therefore try to make a lawyer type case to support your end desires. That's not being a passionate fan man, that's being a dick.

T-mac is still a Rocket - you said you'd cheer for anyone who wore the Rockets red - well, c'mon, live up to your promise. Supporting someone means you hope they get better and play well, not mock them for being at a bar in Las Vegas. If that's the case, you should hit every Rockets player hard because even Yao likes to party and do semi-celeb stuff.

I can't believe you can call someone who goes to Darfur a selfish self-centered celeb wannabe. T-mac has a lot of flaws, but that is just ridiculous.

Yeah Skillzlab was not an attention grab....... Hey everyone, look at me, I am sweating and working hard to get back to being Tmac.....LOL - come on...

You forgot the In your opinion tag. I am not twisting anything, I call it like I see it.....you see it differently....big whup.

When and if he plays, I will cheer for him to do well, judging by the BOOS he received in last year's playoffs, I doubt I am the only one who wants him gone.

For the record, I would not boo, anyone wearing Rockets red gets cheered, but I reserve the right to criticize. ;)

The dude took a camera crew with him to film a "Look at me, I am helping Darfur out" documentary. Then donated a grand total of like $70,000, meanwhile, Yao donates nearly half a million to the earthquake center in China.

I see a clear difference, and honestly one looks fake to me.....I think Tmac is a big old fake.

Just my opinion though.....and you don't like it.....oh well.....I am part Indian you know, and we are a passionate people.

    ;)

    1. Not really valid. Everyone blogs these days. You do it too. He's addressing his fans through skillzlab. It could be free but I guess you have to sign up and pay. He really wants to address the people to believe in him. And because of payment I think he wants to keep the amount limited.

    2. What is interesting. In China Yao is omnipresent and there were people who bashed him to only donate this much. He's the No1. sports personality and some people are still disappointed.
Somebody bash George Clooney too because he was there with a camera crew. What's the point? We do documentaries because we want people to see what's happening out there aren't we?

    3. Sorry but I dun see any Indian roots in you. Are you sure you are Indian and not Native American? Still it's interesting.

Yep, Native American Indian, 1/4. The comment was for Lou Yorker for him being banned previously. An inside joke if you will.

And I understand Tmac is doing it for his own benefit, that is ok, but that doesn't mean we have to like it, right?

How do you expect anyone to support a charity when no one knows about it?

Is unicef a hidden celeb hogging charity aimed at getting attention only? For your information, Yao Ming also had a camera crew when he went over to China to support his charity, is he a fake?

Every single charity that aims to spread the word out does so by the media. You don't spread the word by asking, you spread it by showing.
