I saw it and thought it was pretty OK. You could tell there were some spots that were designed for big laughs and just got nothing but crickets, but there were a few genuinely funny parts as well
For some reason I tend to laugh at that the most when I'm at a theater with an audience and when the audience doesn't participate in laughing, it makes me laugh uncontrollably at the audience for not wanting to play along...
Ok this was funny as hell. Me and the date laughed a ton. It may not be for everyone because there it mixes in some reality with the raunch. By reality I mean some of the themes and situations might hit a bit too close for some women. It's a notch below Mean Girls as far a SNL female comedies. The chubby lady is freaking hilarious!
Yes, but you are a female. I'm being borderline sexist here, but it would help if some of yous clarify gender with your impressions. It looks like it could be pretty funny, but I'm not sure if its a movie a guy would really appreciate. Basically I don't think I can call up my buddies and say "Hey let's go check out that Bridesmaids movie!" I only post because I'm on the fence.
I have seemed to graduate in my marriage from "honey, we are going to watch this movie" to "honey, I'm going to go watch this movie with some of my girlfriends." This is the case with this movie.
I enjoyed it as well but there are a lot of dead spots, movies overlong for no good reason, they could have trimmed a few spots here and there.
Not really the same type of movie even though the trailer trys to sell it as such. Probably closer to Apatow movies, he's a producer on this as well.
Agreed...This movie is pretty fn funny...a lot of laugh out loud, random funny moments...at times I was the only one laughing, but I have that sense of humor...overall pretty solid...didn't realize it was 2 hours long but worth it... on a side note, we had to go to a couple of theaters b/c it was sold out at the first one we went to...
Interesting fact for those of you who were fans of the Joe Schmo show. Kristen Wiig and David Hornsby(Rickety Cricket from Always Sunny) were part of the cast. It looks like Wiig may have had some plastic surgery because her face looks different from back then.
'Cuz no one's face EVER changes? I know what you mean, but it could be that she went on some STRICT diet or just worked out LOTS. No? Looks like she lost a lot of that facial fat.
I thought it was a good movie, by far the raunchiest chick flick I've ever seen. That said, the love story kinda slowed the movie down, but I understand why they had to throw that in.
Just found out that Chris O'Dowd (from The IT Crowd) is in this. Sold. <object width="640" height="441" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="ep"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://i.cdn.turner.com/tegwebapps/tbs/tbs-www/cvp/teamcoco_dynamic_embed.swf?context=teamcoco_embed_offsite&videoId=251823" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><embed src="http://i.cdn.turner.com/tegwebapps/tbs/tbs-www/cvp/teamcoco_dynamic_embed.swf?context=teamcoco_embed_offsite&videoId=251823" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="640" height="441"></embed></object>
